As mention in the subject im into the prelim and i have 4 trades remain. My backline is the weakest part of my team (all other positions are premium)

Backline: Deledio, Goddard, Birchall, Grimes, Lake, Carrazzo, Spurr, (Darley, Wrigley)

I've got Giles sitting on my bench, do i downgrade this week and then i'll have enough money to upgrade spurr and lake to possibly scotland and waters.

Or do i do no trades this week and save them for next week. which means i'll be only able to do upgrade one defender.

Thoughts???

Ringo

same advice I guive to all coaches for finals.

Look at the match ups with your opponent this week before deciding. Then I would trade if necessary to strengthen week areas but if confident that you have the win by comparing uniques do not trade at all as these trades will be valuable in the next 2 weeks.

Sit back, crack a coldie, watch what unfolds. >>>> No trades.

Im sort of the opinion that you dont want to leave trades in the bank.  U can only use two prelim week.  Personally id look at using 1 trade and just make sure your addressing needs like trading a player not playing for someone who is.  Depth is the key come GF. So just be smart about it

Thanks for the input guys...all pretty good points.

Really my only real concern is that i don't know what trades my opponents are going to make so its hard to look at match ups with any confidence.

Tend to agree with you Wacky Tiger, if i hold back and end up loosing it will be a massive cock up.
