Ruckman under $487,400

Lost my qualifying final last week against a team I should have beaten. He had players like Cox, Stevie J, Duffield etc. all go huge and I didn't.

So this means...a must win game for me this week! I have only 1 trade left, but am still fielding Giles as my #2 ruck. The rest of my team is complete, with cover, but need to out Giles for a fallen premo (sandi, Mummy) or a smokey (Minson, Griffin) to secure me better points. Do I trade Giles, or has his last weeks enough to warrant him selection in my side.

I have the trades and cash to get any ruck I want but I think I may play Giles 1 more week against Melbourne. I wouldn't risk Sandilands straight away, esp as Lyin' wants to play 2 rucks. I wanted Mumford but Pyke has been going so well and with Reid out he will continue to spend lots of time forward. Griffin will struggle to score well with Sandi back. Minson is an average ruckman at best and plays Sydney this round.

However I just checked his score vs Dees round 13 - 54! That was with Jamar and Brogan playing. Jamar won't play so that helps. Will Brogan? I'm taking that into account too.

Interested to hear others thoughts as well.

I reckon you should roll the dice on Mumford. This is the time of the year to be bringing the big guy in. Surely he's missed his quota of games this year and will play out the season. His last two games (without Reid) have been fantastic Supercoach wise (110 & 116) and I'm just waiting for him to score massive in a game like we know he can.

Giles is such a tough one to predict. That 170 odd score was huge, but GWS won and Brogan was playing. Last week they lost to the Gold Coast and he only had 80 or so, and that was without Brogan and the Suns being without Smith.

I got in mummy at right time and he is still undervalued. As I said before, if he gets back to his best from last year than he will reap you the rewards like he has done effortlessly last two weeks.

I'd stick with giles personally. Alot of ppl still have him in their teams, i would save ur trade for the semi's or gf & roll the dice

10-20 points u get from mummy (if u do - big iff) is not worth it as no doubt more injuries/players rested next week

I would look at my match ups with your opponent this week before deciding. Then I would trade if necessary to strengthen week areas but if confident that you have the win by comparing uniques do not trade at all as these trades will be valuable in the next 2 weeks.

As has been siad no use wasting a trade for maybe 10/20 points if you will win this final.

Any other week i'd hold the trade, but i'm directly up against Cox and Roughead who play Port and GC respectively.

I have him matched or beaten in other areas of our teams so wanted to make sure i've got him at least matched in the rucks with Naitanui and another premo. Mummy looks good, had him originally at lockout but traded him for Sandi, which turned into Nicnat when they both got injured. I've had no lucks with rucks this year so want to make sure I dont spud up this trade.
