Yay! ::) :P
Haha didn't realise I was playing you. If you win your game against the Spetsnaz you could face Roughie and Zaha 2 weeks in a row :P

Big IF! I'm not to confident I'll even win this week.  ;)

No way i'll win this week, added in rb's side for an easy to see comparison. :) Only line i like over rb's is my fwd line, though Hale vs GC may even it out.

All it takes is for Pendles to trip over on 2 for you to be back in it PB! Hope still remains....

Well, if i manage to sneak in to next week, then i reckon we'll win the comp, as Swan will outscore the Cobras 4 premium midfield by himself :P

A full strength Wolves outfit could prove a challenge.

I love the current AFL finals system. But it has one flaw.

If all the favourites win, the Preliminary finals will be:

1st v 3rd, 2nd v 4th

Seems a clear advantage to 2nd!

In my view, we had a clear 3 teams this year - Pumas, Suns, Cobras. The winner of the Suns/Cobras seems to get a far better draw than the winner of the Pumas/Armadillos! Close, but not perfect.

It was like last year's AFL top 4. 3 clear teams - Pies, Cats, Hawks. Had the Pies and Hawks play each other, while the 2nd placed team got the Eagles at home!

Can't think of a better alternative though

There are two other alternatives.

McIntyre Final Series (used by AFL in the 90s, and the NRL up until last year)

Qualifying Finals

1 v 8
2 v 7
3 v 6
4 v 5

Semi Finals

4th highest ranked winner vs. 2nd highest ranked loser
3rd highest ranked winner vs. 1st highest ranked loser

Prelim Finals

1st highest ranked winner vs winner of 1st semi final
2nd highest ranked winner vs. winner of 2nd semi final

Grand Final

Winner of 1st Prelim vs. Winner of 2nd Prelim

Super League Final Series

Qualifying Finals

Q1: 1 v 4
Q2: 2 v 3

Elimination Finals

E1: 5 v 8
E2: 6 v 7

Semi Finals

SF1: Loser of Q1 vs. Winner of E1
SF2: Loser of Q2 vs. Winner of E2

Preliminary Finals

In an interesting twist, the highest ranked winner from Q1 or Q2 gets to pick which winner from SF1 and SF2 they wish to play. :o Then obviously the lower ranked winner from Q1 or Q2 plays the other team.

Grand Final

Winners of PF1 vs. Winner of PF2.

roo boys!

I am quite confident in the Wolves actually. Regaining pretty much all our players at the right time of year, obviously have to beat PB first and despite him giving up already ;) I think it's not going to be easy. Like Oss said, need Pendles to go big and I should be home.

Still waiting on the AFL teams to name their benches for Sunday matches.

Both Toy and Hickey got named on the GC bench! Doesn't make my decision any easier, but one thing it does do is that now I should have 9 reserves playing this week, unless there are any late withdrawals.

I'll go with Rohan Bewick, Jamie MacMillan and Ted Richards as emergencies.

Bewick coming off a big game, Jones not named so MacMillan takes his spot and Richards in case a defender pulls out.

Harper and Bell would be a bit upset after being in the XV last week haha.
