Mr.Craig

Last year it was Buddy, Hodge, Rioli, Burgoyne, Sewell, Birchall, Lewis and Bailey.

This year we know Rioli is already gone while Buddy and Roughead should (fingers crossed) return which would leave the door open for Hale to have a week off. Mitchell, Sewell, Burgoyne and Birchall all seem to be high on the list of likely outs. It appears Gibson will be right to play but could potentially be given a break anyway.

My league hopes hinge on what they do and I'm sure there are plenty of coaches in the same boat. So what are your thoughts on the ins and outs for the Hawks this week?

Windigo

Franklin said "NO" to him playing even though he was cleared apparently.

LF

Birchall was out earlier in the year for 2 or 3 weeks so will they rest him at all?

In regards to this week or last week? I know that last week he said something along the lines that he "didn't feel right to play".

nas

Mitchell would be one of them to be close, maybe sewell

Hawks v Suns last year ruined my GF.

This year the game is in Melbourne so players arent travelling like last year

Its the late game on Sunday also...not looking good...im expecting players to be named and then late withdrawals

It could well be a massive lists of outs with the likes of Hill, Cheney, TMurphy & Bateman playing well in the magoos...to keep them hungry to try and cement a gig in the seniors. Shiels is also to come back

I guess at this stage I reckon Gibson, Burgoyne & Mitchell would be high on the list for a week off

After that who else is important to the side that they wouldnt want to risk getting injured?....Birchall (did have a few weeks off early in the piece), Punky Bruester, Schoey?

I reckon it may go like this

Gibson > TMurphy
Rioli > BHill
Mitchell > Shiels
Burgoyne > Cheney
Bruest > Franklin
Bailey > Roughnut
Sewell > Bateman

Bailey is the X factor...what are their plans with him? Get him match fit? Hale is playing too good and adds more to the team than Bailey....would Roughy just be an on baller?...Maybe Roughy and Hodge standing at CHB?? (gee imagine that!!! thatd be awesome)

How do you fit in Gunston, Franklin, Hale, Roughead and Bailey into the Hawks team?

Bring on September

hopefully not - weekend as sub was his rest.  I only brought him in 2 weeks ago

Hopefully they do get rested this week (have the week off) rather than the GF...

Chelskiman

I don't think they will rest anyone.  They will want to make sure of it, and as we saw with GWS they take every game seriously.

Hale missed round 18... You think he would miss another one before finals???
Im actually considering him as 2nd ruck. Either that or ROughead... Depends on cash

Rioli, Mitchell, Hodge, Lewis, Whitecross, Burgoyne. Probably one of Young, Birchall and Suckling. I don't really care who we rest as long as we win. Last year we basically played out seconds (even Paul Johnson got a game  :o ::)) and only just got the win. I'd think that we would be kore wary and not rest as many. However, ot is important some players get a break as we havethe swans and eqgles in the 2 weeks after this which are basically mini finals.
