keep messaging the next guys, I'm working on the fixture - it will be totally random, except for the last 3 rounds where teams will play a team in each round for the second time.

So.....

Every team plays every other team once.

EXCEPT.

Every Team plays their RIVAL twice.

AND

Every Team will play 3 other teams twice. I will use last seasons Champion Data player ratings to evaluate lists roughly and try to have the strongest teams play each other twice and likewise the weaker teams play each other twice.

All teams will play 9 home games and 9 away games PLUS Rivalry round where ALL TEAMS will play as AWAY. (no home ground advantage either way).

To be honest at least for the first season, I reckon it should be random who plays who twice...

Otherwise the weak teams just get an advantage, if I knew I could play weak teams maybe I would've drafted a slightly lesser side :O ;)

Then if someone who should be a 12th place side gets into the 8 because he plays the bottom 3 sides twice would be unfair on the guy who should've come 8th but finishes 9th because he has to play the top 3 sides twice.

ln the euros we could select them in the national draft.......which worked out well, because you had to weigh up their potential against the knowledge that they wouldn't be available to play for 12 months

Sounds like the AFL draft, we are trying to be realistic to the AFL remember......

I get your point, I will randomize those teams as you suggest just for the first season, after 2013 season we will be able to see the true rank of teams anyway so the draft can then be done in the AFL way, "of apparent fairness".

This year it will be completely random, can't see any other fair way.

I don't think we should be able to draft ANY player who is not on an AFL list.

So if the u17 are pre-listed YES, but if not NO.

If they are going in the National draft the following season well that is when we will draft them.

But if they are not available to draft the following season because they have been pre-listed then we can draft them.

Yep totally. They were pre-selected and on the list last year so am assuming it will be the same this year. l probably just didnt explain myself very well

as soon as they go on a list we can put them on our list :)

I will make a clear statement about it before we do our National Draft just so all coaches are aware of how it will work.
