No, it should definitely end before the start of the NAB Cup.

The main difference between the AFL and AXV, appart from the obvious is, the coaches know which players will play and where they'll play, we are guessing

yes the thing is getting all the lists finalised all threads updated and everything in order ready to start the season, if we trade through nab cup we will be seriously pushed for time to get everything in perfect order ahead of season start.

valid point but i think we might have to close the window before the nab cup starts, still ill go with the majority just might need a lot of co-operative coaches who are all very organised just before the season so everything can be updated checked and posted in time for round #1.
