Yes I am sure he gets drafted in the pre-season draft of the AFL if another team takes him, so he will be on the list we can draft in OUR rookie/pre-season draft.

EXCEPT in this case he will already be on your list, so you will HAVE TO keep him, as by the time OUR rookie/pre-season draft starts he will be BACK ON A LIST.

in this case your compensation pick will be GONE :)

I don't doubt you Whatlez 29 and didn't make an impact in his second year at the club, wouldn't surprise me

But it isn't official until they announce it, so the pick can stand. If they have announced it AFL website doesn't know about it and he hasn't been removed from their website profiles, which are about a year behind at the best of times so that means little....

Now that BB has picked it has to.

True, But the Suns don't like to let anyone go do they?  Caddy??? Where will he be next year we know the last place he wants to be is where he is...

This is the article but still he is not officially delisted yet so the pick stands, compensation will be given in the outline of the rules if and when this article eventuates and the Suns delist him.
