Thought I would start a thread about those players who's supercoach glory days are behind them.

There are a number of players on the rise and about to step into the 'supercoach elite' group in 2013.
But who are the guys that we should now cross off the list and accept that there scoring will never be the same again?

Give a reason for your choice as well :)

My first nomination is Adam Goodes
Superstar of the game and of supercoach, but its become obvious that his best is well and truly behind him.
Goodes will be 33 at the beginning of the 2013 season and I think his days as a Midfielder are over.
Sydneys mids are simply too good now and he isnt required there. As a forward he doesnt seem to have the ability to get his hands on the ball enough to become a consitant supercoach scorer.

My Nomination: Dustin Fletcher.
Superstar of the game and of supercoach, but its become obvious that his best is well and truly behind him.
Dustin is going on 87 at the beginning of the 2013 season and i think his days as a defender are over.
oh wait.......... Dustin is a ageing backwards. His best is yet to come!
He still has at least 2 more quality seasons in him to get him to 400 games and a new age record of 89.

Good call quinny.
2nd up, ill have to say J Drummond.
Used to be a backman lock in back in his day. I know almost everyone has jumped off his wagon, but back in his day he was it and a bit.
Easy pick i know, lol.

Haha Benjamin Button Fletch,  good nomination

Another nomination I would make is Chris Newman
Newy has always been solid for a long time but as the Richmond defence has got better, they have stopped relying on him to be the designated kicker from the backline. They no longer require getting the ball in his hands at all costs which has affected his scoring

Blues Blues Blues

My nomination at start of year would have been Cox. Thought his best was past him. Then he performs like a gun all year, culminating in him pulling out a 180 out Friday night.

Of course my opponent had him...

Ringo

Given Judds form this year could he also be a nomination.

Agree about the above.
Goodes will still score the odd big one but with their mids he will spend more time fwd and loses appeal.
Newman has been a massive failure for those that had him this year. I would've had him for the fourth straight year had he not had the same bye as Lids, Goddard and Scotland.
Drummond has confirmed in 2012 what most thought already. Not SC relevant anymore.
Judd will have plenty of +100s left in him but Murphy and Gibbs are their future and Juddy's days of consistent big scores seem a relic of the past. Too many below par scores lately.
Jonathan Brown once a lock in the fwds has become another to forget as Brisbane lose most weeks and power fwds don't cut the mustard anymore. Same can be said for Travis Cloke and to a lesser extent N Roo.

Agree with all of this! Good summary

Spinking

Not quite there yet, but Chappy is heading that way... Started looking a bit old and slow this season...

T Dog

And then along came Cloke...one of my 1st picked and still have him..lol.. :o

Nyn

I want to say Lenny Hayes, but he has suprisingly held form and performing well.

S. Black... Once a valid pick.

Greg Broughton would have to be another!
Not due to age, or even form.. just due to an unpredictable coach that changes his role every week

LF

I'm going to throw Sandilands in there as well.
Just seems to be getting one injury after another now.
