Mr.Craig

Saw a post in the SC section regarding this and had a look around. Nothing on the web apart from these two tweets both prior to teams being named this evening...

Jay Clark‏@ClarkyHeraldSun
Jarryd Roughead OUT for clash against Port Adelaide in Tas. Bailey will play. Suspect Buddy may also miss again.

SportsDay‏@SportsDayVIC
Jarryd Roughead will be out for the Hawks clash on Sunday against Port Adelaide, Buddy touch and go. Full teams announcement from 6:30pm

They seem pretty certain about it. Might be in for some bad news tomorrow. :(

Bump...?

It was given a mention on AFL360 last night, like the Chappy incident..

Any more news been thrown around on this issue?

Roughead should have a big one if he plays v Port, without Buddy out there.

Jarryd Roughead has played every game this year except Round 1. Been named but due for a rest. Tipping late withdrawal.

Colliwobblers

you would expect them to rest a few against port but they also won't won't to take thier foot off the gas either so who knows

Mr.Craig

I'm still unsure given the bullshower the Herald Sun pulled last week claiming Cox, Goodes, Mummy etc. were all going to be out then everyone played.

Andrew

Surely a big chance of missing if there's anything wrong with him, Bailey & Hale in the team and Port have a new coach and are playing rookies.

"PAUL Chapman gone; Kurt Tippett gone; James Frawley gone (teams are obviously getting sick of the news breaking in the Panic Room) now all eyes are fixed squarely on Jarryd Roughead - that's just part of a star-studded cast that has lingered in the Panic Room in week one of the Super Coach finals .

The Thursday night rumours became a Friday fact a few hours ago when the Cats confirmed Paul Chapman didn't board the plane for Perth and won't play tonight against the Eagles, and Kurt Tippett was withdrawn from tomorrow's clash against Fremantle. Frawley was also a late scratching today.

The word has been almost as strong that Roughy will be rested for Sunday's clash against Port Adelaide.

There's a fair reason to suggest he should be given a week off. Roughead has not missed a game since his Round 1 return from a serious Achilles injury and could do with a freshen-up ahead of the finals.

Another tip-off is the fact Max Bailey was picked last night. The last time Bailey played, David Hale was a late withdrawal, so make sure you have cover if happen to have Roughead â€" as we do."

Mr.Craig

Bailey and Eillis in, Shiels and Savage out.

So now the long wait until final teams on Sunday begins. :(

Diesels Pups

Here's a clue. Nick Maxwell has put roughy on his DT bench not even as a emerg, so would think he might know something.

Nick Maxwell also got rid of Robbo the other week

Plastic Boy

when rumours circulate like this its pretty safe to say they end up being more then that.

I'd expect Roughy to take a rest given that they are up against Port....

Mr.Craig

Well, I think that's me done for the year as far as league goes. Oh well.
