will be very interesting to see who carries the drinks
Australia: Michael Clarke (c), David Warner, Ed Cowan, Shane Watson, Ricky Ponting, Mike Hussey, Matthew Wade, James Pattinson, Peter Siddle, Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Ben Hilfenhaus (12th man to be named).

Siddle hopefully.

It's nice to enter a summer with no stupid selections, no random spinners, no extra unwarranted chances for Marsh or Hughes, no mention of Micthell Johnson and the tough (but correct) decision on the keeping spot.

Siddle will lead the attack, almost first bowler picked remembering that he got a hat trick in Brisbane against England the year before last.

You almost mentioned his name lucky you got it wrong, otherwise he may make a come back. Hopefully he drifts off into the distance....

But 4 good qulaity bowlers all striving for selection. Will be interesting to see. Sounds like the rotation will be in full affect....

It's not that I think Siddle is a bad bowler, it's more the fact I would rather give game time (thus experience) to the two younger bowlers.  I know Siddle isn't terribly old himself, but we are still in a transition phase, so I think now is the time to give our younger bowlers as much game time as possible because they will be leading our line in the next three or so years so giving them the experience now is important so they are not out of their depth when they are our main strike bowlers.  We have some of the best young bowling talent in the world, so we shouldn't be wasting it by letting them run around handing drinks about.

It could be Hilfenhaus that gets 12th man. The only cricket he has played recently is a bit of T20, and not much at that. They may go for the lefty in Starc over him and I would think that Siddle and Pattinson get the first two bowling spots. But Lyon will be 12th if they decide to go for 4 quicks, but I think this is unlikely.

Harsh on Lyon if we go for four spinners and he still doesn't make the 11.   :P

Haha whoops my bad. Fixed now

Gabbas meant to be a green top this year so wouldn't be surprised to see Lyon with the drinks, but I'd prefer hilfy carrying them.

Hawka

No way Hilfy deserves 12th man
Starc or Lyon for me

tbagrocks

I think Stark, a spinner needed at the Gabba and the others have been in the team and should stay

Hilfy is our most consistent bowler.  He won't, and shouldn't, be dropped.

JBs-Hawks

Yea that's just personal opinion not wise decision making :P

I think Starc can trouble the proteas. Johnson destroyed them last time. Left armed destroyed Smiths thumb as well. Starc is slot more accurate and swings in. I like the variety he provides

all four bowlers are better than any of our spinners, we could play four quickies and use Clarke for part-time spin, with Watson and Hussey helping out too
