Do the Hawks want chaplin

Chaplin is a free agent and looks to leave port do we want him for that tall defender or key leaving Gibson to run free in the backline to support schoenmakers  or act as the spare man in defence :)

Definitely don't need Chaplin. He's too similar to our current defenders, Gibson in particular. If we are going to bring in a defender it has to someone bigger in build to match up on the big forwards of the league like Hawkins.

Plus Chaplin's skills wouldn't cut it in our game plan.

well our only hope to match up on hawkins is to build up schoe's frame to the max

I think our outside mids is more a pressing concern. Either we look to trade for an out of favor sprinter with exceptional left foot kicking skills or look to draft another indigenous mid with the 1st pick. ( Hill and Wangers coming along beautifully). Need to support smith and young and aids player management. As a club overall we are the best at player recovery.

Schoe still 21 will be incredible.....we can look forward to many more schoe v hawk battles. Schoey starting to hold his own 1on1 there's less reliance on Gibbo or Stratts to come 3rd man up. I don't think there is an immediate need for a Chaplin... we will probably draft a defender.

Oh yeah, this kiwi's a gun!! Agree can't wait till he explodes. Have to admit has disappointed me a bit this year with his goal finishing. I think he was much more accurate last year or maybe my expectations are too high. ;)
