...

that's what he said? like, just because they kick goals, like swan/ablett, doesn't make them a forward...

as I said, it's determined on the majority of time they spend in various parts of the gorund, but more importantly, where they pick up most of their possessions and stats.

Yeah I know, but I was having a shot mainly at his list of 3827391 players that he is 'adamant' shouldnt be DPP. It's like he doesnt realise players actually do play multiple positions. His comment about the goal kicking mids made it sound like players who kicked goals were given DPP when I was saying that's not always the case.

We all know like you said its heat maps, stats in areas that determine eligibility but obviously there is no access to those kind of stats, so the main thing we have to go on is goals and maybe goal assists. And for defenders maybe rebound 50s.

Don't forget, stats in areas of the ground will always be biased towards the midfield because the ball is there way more of the time. You could also argue the higher ranked teams are more likely to have the ball in the forward line and the lower ranked teams in the backline.

Adamant

Daisy Thomas would be a lock if MID/FWD DPP!

Getting DPP
Rocky- Fwd/Mid
Cox- Fwd/Ruck
Gibbs- mid/def
Goldsack Fwd/Mid
Mzungu- Fwd/Mid ?
Paddy Ryder- Fwd/Ruck

If Ryder and Cox both gain Ruc/Fwd then they would both almost be locks along with a Ruc/Fwd rookie such as Joe Daniher to allow maximum control over your team.

I like your thinking!
