I like Derickx, and I think he's a good prospect but I don't know if he would be able to step up and share the load with Vickery if Ivan went down and we didn't have Wood or Seaby.

Yeah, for Wood. Have him rookie listed like Miller, Addam Maric etc. Probably the best way.

Like I said in my previous post, stick whoever it is on the rookie list and use them like we did Miller/Maric. The exception to this would be Ben Jacobs (if we were to/do get him). We'd have to snare him with Pick 34(?) before Port, North or whoever gets their hands on him.

yeah if we were to pick up a ruckman like Seaby or Wood I would say use a rookie draft pick on him, because then he only comes onto the senior list if Maric gets an LTI, which is the only time we'd want him on the senior list..

as for other picks, I actually wouldn't mind seeing Ricky Petterd given another shot, although that said we probably have enough small/med forwards now...

If we pick Petterd up, we're going have a showerload of forwards! Just another man to add to the depth. He's a real bit of talent though, so I really think he'd be worth giving a shot. Gotta keep in mind Pick 9 may be a forward too.

If we are going to choose a delisted player in the national draft I hope that we pick wisely, for memory back in 2004 we picked up Mark Graham for pick 65. Now even though that is a late pick I still reckon we would have been better off picking a rookie rather than a player who would have been 32 for the next season.

If we're gonna pick him up in delisted free agency, we've got until Tuesday, but from what's occurred so far, it doesn't appear to be the most popular period for activity. For Petterd, I'd say pre-season draft is probably the way to go.

yeah that's what i mean, petterd is very talented but our forward line so far will be:

HF: Griffiths, Vickery, Dusty
FF: Edwards, Jack, Az Edwards

Depth: Knights (/wing), Nahas, PushUp, Elton, White, Astbury

Or something like that ^ so it will be hard to fit another person in there!

Yeah add pick 9 to that, although I'm starting to think we might get someone like Vlastuin/Clurey (Def) or Macrae if his still there...
