Trying to decide how to finish off my team, playing in a 2nd v 3rd match this week. Have 5 trades left but just $800 in the bank. Where would you trade if you were me?

Backs: Deledio, Scotland, Goddard, Enright, Waters, Shaw, Lake (Spurr, Baguley)

Mids: Ablett, Selwood, Thompson, Pendlebury, Murphy, Zorko (Gibson, Sutcliffe)

Rk: Naitanui, Jacobs (Stephenson, Campbell)

Fwd: Dangerfield, Sidebottom, Chapman, Franklin, Lewis, Cloke, Martin (Smedts, Hall)

I would seriously think about getting rid of Cloke. Too scary to rely upon.

Beams would be ideal, or Swan in the mids (Zorko forward but you'd lose DPP).

Downgrade Spurr, Hall and get a $94K guy.

Frees up somewhere between 520K - 552K.

Some better than Cloke picks in that price range.

I guess you should go hard now to upgrade and avoid the embarrassment of bowing out with trades left.

A double trade is in order.
without looking at dollars, maybe Spurr to Browne, Cloke out,
move zorko fwd, bring in the best prem mid you can afford - will be someone like Boyd/Sloane/Murphy.

After that you can look at maybe doing another downgrade.
Leaves you with 2 trades for sideways trading and cash in the bank.

Maybe i should have read other comments posted before i give the same advice  :)

Spurr > 94k D/F to rotate with Smedts
Cloke > Cotchin/Mitchell

Or if you want to keep Cloke as an emergency you could go Smedts > NDS/Fyfe/Thomas/Rockliff/Griffen etc. who are still all better than Cloke.

I think team utility is the way to go.

I have every possible DPP link for security.

Trades are always in limited supply so if you have DPP everywhere...it can be invaluable.

Id look at SGibson out...Bags into mids...MJohnson to Backs...just picked up 2 dpp with 1 trade and good bench cover in mids, backs & fwds....

Zorko needs to replace cloke in your forwards but you need to keep the mid / fwd DPP somehow in an ideal world...bit of a bummer situation your in there...zorko is far too good to have on the bench...but not good enough to keep as M6 IMO...ASwallow or MPriddis in the mids & Zorko replacing Cloke in the FWDs looks BOSS for your side.

If you do the MJohnson trade you maybe able to risk not having that FWD / Mid DPP as you will have Back / FWD dpp.

I think you will need to burn a minimum of 3 trades but there arent any boys on the bubble this week to get MJohnson into Backs, Zorko into fwds and some sort of mid premium (JPK, Priddis, Mitchell, ASwallow etc)....see who is named this week or if any dirt cheapos played their 1st game last week
