Mids: - Brett Ebert -
Not sure you've made a mistake, or you actually mean that. :-\ It might just work. :D

@aces-high: Paul Stewart will probably not get the green vest anymore as he's turning into a KPP. And apparently KPP can't be subs because it was tried once and it failed.

So noz you reckon Hartlett should be a permanent midfielder, instead of the half back general?

You put Hartlett, Boak, Broadbent, Cornes, Cassisi and Ebert in and you have a first class midfield so yeas I do

the flying hawk

I like the idea as rohdan as the sub :)

Brett Ebert should have been playing on ball last five years ::)

Honestly i reckon Boak is gone, We have been linked to Brent Moloney picking him up in the free agency so he could slot in that position. If Moloney can re capture is 2010 form he will be a sound addition to our midfield will also help out young guys such as Ebert, Hartlett, Wingard and Broadbent.

Would prefer Pearce on the half back line, Chaplin will also be heading out probably to Richmond or St Kilda its vital we get a player not a compensation pick for him.

Carlile, Trengove, Blee, Jonas, Surjan/Logan, Cassisi, Pfeiffer, Pearce, Pittard Hartlett should all be rotated through the starting back line in the early rounds to figure out our best combination. If we can pick up a strong key defender in the trading period that would be pretty good. Jarrod Irons has been in good nick for the reserves in the past month along the half back line.

Mitch Banner has so much to offer and will push for a starting gig next year but hard to knock down on a quality midfield, Salopex should head of to GWS as he is far down the peaking order could get a mid round draft pick our one of their fringe players.

Redden 40 hit outs on the weekend has shown us what he is capable of he and Renouf will build a solid partnership with each other next year. Westhoff can also pinch hit along with Stewart when in the side. Stewart deserves more chances but playing Schulz, Butcher, Westhoff and Stewart in the one side is a recipe of disaster.

Cameron Hitchcock will bounce back and push for weekly senior selection, Robbie Gray's return will be the biggest thing for round 1 next year as he will also push for more midfield time as we mould him as one of the games best midfield/forward.

Flipper Phillips has head a great end of the season and hopefully with another solid pre season under his belt he can play a few games next year.

We will continue to get games in our younger crop of players such as Moore, Young, O'Shea, Banner, Wingard, Pittard, John Butcher, Blee, Irons, Ah Chee, Newton, Danny Butcher we will start to gain quality depth and push for the 8.

Outs: Boak (So hard to say this but its been far to long i reckon he is gone)
Salter (Would like to see him stay but he could provide a hand back up KPP elsewhere)
Webb (When you have 9 players over 197 cm thats just getting out of hand we need mid size players, hopefully gets a gig elsewhere)

Ins:   Moloney (If he re captures his 2010/11 form he would be a exceptional pick in the free agency couldn't be worse the McCarthy)

Throwing a bunch of B and C-grade players together makes an A-grade midfield?

I'll take Swan, Pendlebury, Ball, Beams, Thomas and Sidebottom over those guys anyday.

Hartlett, Wingard, Ebert and Boak are a bit better than B graders lol ::) typical Victorians ::)

I really hope they don't waste their time getting brent meloney if they needed experience to help out the young players they should have kept the experience they practically gave away to GWS which probably would have helped us develop this year but at this point I rather see more young players getting game experience instead. They should make the 8 next year with the young players improving, especially wingard I see as a key midfielder in the future, and with players back from injury, hopefully a few good new recruits and a better draw next year they should be set so long as they find a good coach.

Yes mitch banner could also be brought in next year and A. young showed some promise against richmond. I hope they don't play mccarthy anymore players with poor skills infect a team.

Hey power fans, just wondering is there room for Pittard and Heath to consistently be "best 22" next year. I would like to take both if they play rounds 1 - 10.

Cheers,

Ziplock

there's room for pittard, with pearce gone.

and with jacobs as well...

yeah, basically there's room. heath might need to fight a bit for a perma spot.
