Top 8 2013. We have the talent and have been blooding youngsters.  Crisp and Wrigley went ok last night and Lisle had a sound first game.

Ziplock

only if brown can keep up. Without him you don't have a viable key forward, which is pretty much crucial for top 8. If you look at the current top 7, only the swans dont really have  a dominant key forward, the thing that's keeping them up is that they don't allow points scored against them.

BB67th

Lisle and Tippett (who we will convince to come up from Adelaide) are the future at the Lions.

he would be, but he's injured.

Think Harwood certainly has one of the back pocket positions sewn up. Been very impressed with him this year rebounding from the back :)

Only problem would be is there room for them all Harwood, Golby, Adcock, Lester and Hanley. Yeo has also impressed in his couple of games as well. As I have said watch the Lions with one of the youngest lists in the AFL with 26 players on our list being 23 and under,

I would agree with some previous comments but want to add this:
Golby is in the best 22 any day of the week
I would play Merret and Staker back and release Joel Patfull a bit more
Banfield should be used as trade bait
I think you will see Rockliff come out of a forward pocket and Polec on the other wing
I would rather Brisbane pay 150-200k for Scott Gumbleton than 600-800k for Tippet (some might dissagree with me but that is just my opinion)
Was frustrated Voss played Polks over Amon Buchannon all year, Amon has been killing it in the NEAFL

Ringo

With our youth coming along and the Reserves winning Northern Conference the pressure will be on for places:

Changes from initial 22

Clay Beams has certainly taken some steps forawrd and would force his way into the mids.
Golby and Harwood would be fighting for a hb position.  Do not agree with Patful being released more as he always takes the third tall and does an excellent job.  If there is no third tall then comfortable with him playing loose.
Would like to see Lisle or Cornelius have a fair crack at full forward to support Brown both have strong marking ability and are good kicks,  but like your thoughts on Gumby over Tiprat.

Talking of the NEAFL it is hard to see why Retzlaf did not get a run in the seniors prior to his injury as he was the best player on a number of occasions. Know he has been tried but he was still the standout in the reserves more so than Buchannon. Voss seemed to have a dislike for certain players though!!!

This talk is turning a little bit to trades now but looking at this article:
http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/147952/default.aspx
It looks like Brisbane may be chasing more than just Ktipp
Who are the players you think Brisbane might be considering getting during the trade period?
Anyone think that Brent Maloney might be woth trying to get?

BB67th

Nah Lions won't bother trying to get Moloney. We have enough emerging midfielders already, he probably doesn't fit into the structure too well.

brodman_18

we actually need 1 more inside mid, especially with Black retiring at the end of next year. I wouldn't be surprised if that is what we go for.

Ringo

Bartlett and Beams are both capable of playing inside to replace Black.  Would prefer their upside rather than chase Moloney. Reddan could also possibly play inside as well.

Noz

Ryan Lester would be close to your best 22 now wouldn't he?
