The AFL has ruled out 2 byes per team for next year :). So no MORE stressing next year about the hell month, just the same amount as this year ;)

Seriously with 2 byes it would be chaotic. I can't handle one like they did this year. Drop form 3k to 10k in the rankings in those 3 weeks...

I actually preferred the 2 bye system last year (for fantasy purposes) - at least you could spread the damage and pretty much field solid teams each week. In reality it's good to just have 3 quiet rounds mid-season (for the fans & players)

Personally I'd prefer them to just have one whole week off, right in the middle of the season, so it is fair and even for all.

Good for fantasy coaches, poor for broadcasters though.

Split round worked aswell prior to 2011.
