2013 bye structure.

The AFL have just announced that the players have lost their fight to get a second bye for season 2012. The AFL have said that this would mean the season would have to start a week earlier which would come into conflict with the cricket season.

With this. The AFL have also said that they will follow the same 3 Round byes system as this year and that the season is likely to be opened with the usual Richmond Carlton game!!

That is good news, i think we panicked a bit regarding the bye set up this year and it didnt turn out to be as bad as i thought it was going to be. In saying that when the rumour of two rounds of major byes was being bantered around i was thinking the same way again "Man this will be tough" so im glad to hear we are only coping the same as this year in 2013.
