Found this on Supercoach Paige:

Gold Coast Suns captain, Gary Ablett has been seen attending a medical centre to have scans on what's been revealed as a possible PCL injury in the narrow loss to the Lions on Saturday.

More to come.

Sorry for ignorance but what is a PCL? Any idea of what recovery for it normally is?

PCL - Prosterior Cruciate ligament.

Depends on the severity of the injury. If it's just a strain you can ice it and keep off it for a day or 2 and you can be back fine. A reconstruction is about 6-8 months. Slightly less than an ACL.

Also there is no distinctiveness for the PCL injury. ACL usually have that 'pop' noise and you know straight away. PCL's can build up over time and just get strained. If he was walking in and unassisted or not limping then he is probably just checking it cos it was sore.

Perhaps your reading the old news from April where he injured his PCL against Brisbane.

Speculator

There is nothing about this on any mainstream news websites. Might be a troll

Frozensage

didn't GC get thrashed earlier this year... not exactly "close"... be interesting... I don't have him but would like to get him... if he is injured then I can save a trade whilst everyone else in my league will have to waste one :D

I'm thinking the same thing. Can't find anything. Which Supercoach page are you talking about? Can you post a link?

I can't post the link for some reason. Just go to facebook, like Supercoach Paige and you'll see for yourself. At the end of the day posting the link won't do much anyway as there is no new information apart from what has already been posted at the top of this thread.

Sorry Simma, I agree with Bridge777. Either you or what you have seen have gotten themselves confused. Definite unjustified rumor based on old news.

I'm not confused at all and I'm certainly not saying to believe this and take it as Gospel - all I did was share what was said on Supercoach Paige. Make of it what you will .......

DT Gun

Roumer is from SEN 1116

Does have merit

How could this be old news? Last Q clash the result was a 65 point thumping to the Lions. The thread clearly states in the narrow loss to the Lions on Saturday, so it's not based on old news at all. It could turn out to be BS, but its definately not based on old news.

Just looked at both FB and SEN website. No info up there now. Not saying it hasn't happened but it looks doubtful.
