Haha RB didn't you trade Lewis cos you didn't realise he was a forward?
:-[

Yep knew I had too many midfielders so traded Lewis for a young, up and coming forward...still a step in the right direction IMO!

Season defining match.

Lose, and fate no longer in your hands.

Win, and fulfil your destiny!

Despite some questionable form of late, Brett Deledio simply must be named Captain in this crucial match. Any other as captain would send a strange message to the team. Matthew Scarlett cops a suspension, and he is replaced by Nick Maxwell who has been in reasonable form of late, with Jason Gram and Chris Yarran capping of the defence. Eric Mackenzie named emergency.

The midfield needs to find consistency. Ryan Griffen, James Kelly, Jude Bolton and Jack Steven have all been in good form, but too often have below-par scores. Bryce Gibbs has been extremely disappointing this year and is joined on the bench by Liam Anthony, who replaces the highly paid Tom Scully who desperately needs to find form (has been named in the best only once this year).

Ben McEvoy's return has been terrific - averaging 118 since his return from injury. He needs to be, with back ups Brent Renouf and Dawson Simpson struggling with injury and form.

Patrick Dangerfield returned to the form we know he is capable of, but can he do it twice in a row? Luke Power, Hayden Ballantyne and Alwyn Davey know that the forward line is where Seoul needs to lift if they are to upset Cape Town. Charlie Dixon's been in great form for Pyongyang, and is unlucky to miss out.

D: B Deledio (Capt), J Gram, N Maxwell, C Yarran

M: R Griffen, J Kelly, J Bolton, J Steven

R: B McEvoy

F: P Dangerfield (V-Capt), L Power, H Ballantyne, Alwyn Davey

I: B Gibbs, L Anthony

E: T Scully, E Mackenzie, C Dixon

In: N Maxwell, L Anthony

Out: M Scarlett (suspended), T Scully (omitted)

4 changes, starting Redden over Jenkins (Redden may not play yet though). McKenzie comes straight back into the side, Cornes gets a run with Robinson missing again, and Jared Petrenko was the unlucky won to make way because it's Tom Logan's 100th game this weekend, so decided to give him a run. :D Swan will get me 400 points, but i'll still lose to PNL. :(

Selection this week is really tough. It's probably Moscow's most important match of the season and we wouldn't want to stuff this one up.

In the backline we have 10 players to choose from. Two are auto selections, but the other two spots up for grabs are causing the selectors some headaches. A good headache to have though.

Tom Liberatore being named on the extended bench has him in with a chance of wearing green. Allen Christensen coming back off injury and being an effective sub in the past sees him in with a chance of getting the green vest too. The same case goes for Ben Sinclair. If Sinclair doesn't get it, who does? Probably Seedsman, who is also in the mix for Moscow. Mooney looks likely to be in the starting 18 for the Pies for the first time, up against GWS, but is this enough for him to make his debut for Moscow? Hoskin-Elliott has performed well when Moscow has used him. Bastinac is meant to be a senior player but his recent performances hardly warrant automatic selection.

We could go with a forward line entirely of mid/fwds (Dayne Beams, Dustin Martin, Harley Bennell, Adam Treloar) and put faith in the young mids to get the job done, or we could move that entire group into the middle and bring legitimate forwards like Dickson, Jon Brown, Matera, Lynch into the team.

Nic Nat handles the ruck duties magnificently, but if Roughead makes the extended bench cut should he be considered as a bench option? Who else gets a bench spot? One of the plethora of backmen? A young mid with a chance of being sub or not performing? A forward like Dickson or Brown who could kick a match winning bag of goals?

The Spetsnaz without Higgins for the first time this season might choke.

Are you like, gonna name a team?

Once the extended benches are named. No point naming Liberatore and Roughead if they're not even playing.

Porplyzia has earned his spot back in the XV after some very impressive performances in the ressies recently, Whitecross is the unlucky forward to miss out. McMahon comes back in after one week out of the side with Roberton being dropped to the emergency list. Apart from that no changes down in Brazil as we head north to New York to face the Eagles. Big game for Sloane and Porplyzia who were originally drafted by the Eagles before eventually being traded to the Pumas :)
