Wah wah wah - Go and ask Sandilands how often he has been jumped in to at ruck contests.

he will this week as they play at home again

I read the article, and he wasn't really complaining... he just said that he's pretty sure it's against the rules, but if it isn't going to be paid he'll just have to get over it.

and really? people jump into sandilands? do they have a death wish lol?

Shaggy

Given he is talking about a 3rd person blocking his attempt to contest for the ball up, I think your statement is a bit OTT there Valk. :P

Spinking

Reckon the umps (and the opposition) will probably make life harder for him now he has said this.  Bad move showing weakness like that.

Actually, he is talking about the centre bounces. The opposition ruckman cross over the centre of the circle so his run up and leap ability is curtailed.

Cant see anything illegal about the tactic, they arent running into him, just closing the gap and not allowing him extra space to leap with.. Pyke was fantastic at it! Played to his strength and took Nic Nats away

Sounds like someone wished they had NicNat not Sandipants....

Will watch with interest this week especially as he will be up against the bigger bodied Hudson who has been a real revelation this year since berger was injured. Hudson gives away an average 2/3 frees a game so will be interesting to see what the count is this week following the article.

Personally don't think the umps will pay him more frees. Less if anything imo.

Absolutely not - NicNat is the most overrated palm tree in the competition.  I am just sick of the whining from WC and the WC-centric media jumping on board.  The best news article for me was after Walters played his 1st game for Freo this year the back page was "NicNat helps Freo to finals".  All because NicNat and Walters grew up together and Walters rang NicNat for some advice.

Sandilands has always had "extra" tactics employed against him for his entire career - do you hear him whinge about it?

He was talking about centre bounces where you cant have a 3rd man up.  I thiink NicNat needs to learn the rules because you are allowed to go over the centre line to tap/ruck the ball.  You just cant cross the line until the ball has been bounced.

Case in point... All you can talk about is Nic Nat ;)

i had a small giggle when you called him a palm tree Valk, maybe that should be his icon

looks like leigh matthews has his back on this.
'But the rules at the centre bounce, particularly, are that you have to access to jump at the footy. That's what the centre square line is all about'

I doubt they'll penalise anyone for it this year, but next year they might introduce a new rule....

Valk still take Sandi over Nic Nat..? Something is wrong if he would...
