Never to think that Cloke will ever be a good pickup whether it be my starting team or as a trade in.

Taking the value player instead of biding my time for the best players.. Looking at you NDS

1.  Mumford... never again - i don't care how cheap he is.
2.  Don't trade out players with short term injuries and being concerned with price drops (went Ablett to Murphy ... big mistake)
3.  Goodes (i think he is too injury prone and scores are all over the place...  should have payed more $$$ two weeks ago and got Beams)
4.  Gilbert (having said that he has been scoring ok of late and has played every game)

So overall i think i've made good choices this year but have just been smashed by injuries and change in roles (Eski and Duffield for example).  Overall I reckon i've wasted 3 trades this season.

I'm happy with my team, but could be better. Traded in Clancee, Sidey and Thompson at top dollar, only to see them slump ( especially Clancee!) Adcock has let me down most of the season, as well as Martin and Goddard lately. Best thing I've done is when someone is injured, hold, hold, hold! GAJ, Pendles, Scotland and Buddy ( just get back for the finals ok?). The difference between having four trades left and none. Although playing the right opponents at the right time helped. P!ssed off you all got Priddis when I've had him all season! ::)
I agree with the op. trade in prems after injury affected  scores, not bad form. ( c'mon Goodes!)

lol at the thought of goodes being injury prone. you must be joking yeah?
go to his player page you will see that he missed 3 games in his rookie season
and then played every game until he missed another 3 in 2008 then played every game until this season.
that is not an injury prone player. that is one of the most uninjured players you will ever come across

If Ross Lyon is anywhere near them stay well away!

Hear hear. You are right regarding his consistency, but he has always been inconsistent. Research, research, research...

Lesson learned: Don't just assume 'you'll be right' when it comes to the bye rounds. Develop a plan which you consider when drafting. You shouldn't just be thinking about this two weeks before the byes.

Leant this the hard way  :(

Do not worry spik even when planning for byes things go wrong.  I had a set up which planned to get me through byes with 4 donuts ended up with 9 over the three rounds so even best thought out plans are no good either.  Lesson do not over analyze but take them as they come.

+1 - I'd actually say don't over think the byes - they were too far in to the season and a lot had changed by the time they came around, and everyone was in the same boat anyway.  That said, it's going to be different again next season so who knows

The byes just turned into a big pain.No amount of planning could have helped really.
Players like Lewis and Waters getting suspended players being dropped like Malceski
Players being rested for an extra week.
Plus all the injuries onto top of that really there was no hope.

what i meant was that Goodes maybe at the point where he doesn't play 22 every year due to his age and that I should have paid the $$$ for Beams.
