Hopefully the red vest was just a precaution and will be good next week >:(. I would have won the two leagues I lost if he had of kept going, was smashing McEvoy in the ruck

Interesting precaution to take when the game was right in the balance though.
However Pyke is becoming a real good ruckman and contested marker so maybe resting Mummy for a week won't be the end of the world.

Game was in the balance, but with Mumford's injury history (mainly) and Pyke being in good form they wouldn't risk him.

I just noticed that the Swans play Gold Coast this week, so I expect Mummy will have a spell on the sidelines  :(

Yeah +1, should get a rest this week.

If he's fine he'll play IMO. He was just running himself into full fitness and form. Swans need Mumford to fire if they're to be a chance in the finals. No point resting him now.

He clearly is not 100% fine, otherwise he would not have been subbed  ::)
And plus with a game against Gold Coast Sydney should give the injury a week so he'll be right for finals. As you said, they need Mumford firing for finals. Don't want him to aggravate an injury.

Here's the official word lads:

Looks like the absolute worst case is he misses this week vs the Gold Coast, but no more then that!

Capper

i wouldnt be surprised if he out for 2 weeks and misses the carlton game as well and make him freesh for the Pies game

Thanks, yeah I reckon a week out is the likely result. I hope so a) for Mumford's health and b) for Sydney's finals hopes.

Jay

just do what every it takes to get him ready for SC finals :D

TheMailman

Doubt he'd play against Gold Coast. That would be a perfect oppurtunity of Mike Pyke to play solo in what could be considered a low risk game.

Carlton might not have Judd but they aren't kids, I'd hope Mummy to be back by then
