Now if you don’t mind, I would like some people to rate my team as well. I have re-thought about it and changed it quite a bit recently:

De Gea
Baines, Shawcross, Coloccini
Silva, Mata (C), Dempsey, Walters
Aguero (V), Lukaku, Lambert
(Cerny, Harte, Britton, Clyne)

I’ve gone for a solid goal keeper, a cheap but effective defence, with my faith going on Baines, a stacked, safe and solid midfield, and a star, a cheapie, and an X-Factor (Lukaku) : At 6.5 I couldn’t refuse him and he was my last forward I needed to pick. My bench should be fine too. Mata captain with the double. Overall I think I have enough points in the bag for a solid gameweek.

Luigi :)

Hey Luigi,

For me i can see De Gea being rotated a little with Lindegaard, not as much as last year but still. So really just personal preference i guess.

Shawcross and Coloccini great solid buys, Harte i dont know much about but he is just a backup. Personally i think Baines is a little over priced this year.

Mids look solid although i'm a little iffy with Walters, i think there may be some better options. Like Britton as a back-up, should be solid for Swansea again this season.

And great forwards, Lukaku has shown pretty decent pre-season form and could fire at West Brom, Aguero an obvious choice and Lambert one of the better Championship players from last year.

I will have a think about both De Gea and Walters. Cech and Sinclair/Moses/Cabaye/Larrson/Dyer/Allen/Etherington/Ramsay/Ramires/Pienaar would be my other options too.

Thanks heaps MTTY.

No worries Luigi, thanks for your advice. Remember though most of what i said was just personally opinion, if you think they could both have big years then by all means go by your gut.

Adamant

Which one?

Vermaelen

Lescott + 0.5

Zabaleta + 1.0

Cheers  :)

KoopKicka

Thanks luigi! Maybe one  option is to go Lescott to ShawX and use that 1.5m to turn Gunthrie into Pienaar GW2? Then play a 3-5-2 formation with Pogs,Barnett and Clyne riding the bench?

Luigi197

That's alright MTTY, I like anything said on my team because it gives me something to think about.

--------

Adamant: I like Lescott + 0.5 most likely

--------

KoopKicka: that sounds like a very good plan!! You might not even have to wait until gw2 for Pienaar, but i getting up early and using the double gameweek to your advantage is always handy.

Very solid team, Lukaku a bit of an unknown commodity in the premier league but as a Chelsea fan I'll be keen to see how he goes; not much competition for spots at West Brom so hopefully he'll be seeing plenty of first team action.  Lambert also a good pick considering he was involved in a ridiculous percentage (I think 48% but don't quote me on it) of Southampton's goals last season.  I would probably go bale over dempsey - bale an absolute superstar who should score 220+ this season.  Strong bench cover in the pass-master Britton (higher percentage of passes completed than any other player in the world last season) and Nathaniel Clyne.

Hey BS,ars

Like the GK's love they way Krul plays should have another great year.

Good backs, although Clichy may rotate this season a lot with Kolarov. Mids look a bit under strength but then again Larsson has the potential to assist quite a lit and is very unique.

Strikers are very very good.

MTTY

Argh, isnt it strange how one trade can affect the change of most of your squads structure?  ;D

Think i'm finely settled with the players and strategy of my team.

@CrowsFan:
I like it all, although I will wonder where all the money went. I still have my doubts on Kagawa, but I can’t argue with a Man U supporter. I would also consider slightly downgrading Pieener or Michu to maybe find a better forward instead of Bent. Bent could pay off, but from the start of the season, I like certainties.
Thanks luigi, a cheer for you for going through everyone's teams :)
In regards to your concerns I may be trading Kagawa out now that RVP is on the scene, unsure how they will be lining up now...
Pienaar killed it in the second half of the season when he went back to Everton, scoring 4 goals and getting 7 assists in 14 games. Now he is back at Everton full time he should score very well and at 6.5 was too cheap to refuse.
Michu was La Liga's top goal scorer last year for midfielders, scoring a massive 15! At Swansea he should be slotting straight in to the spot vacated by Sigurdsson and so should be scoring plenty more again this season, just like Pienaar at 6.5 he is worth the risk.
Regarding Bent, he is an awesome goal scorer and Villa's main threat up front. Guarantees you goals and is fully fit with a full pre season under his belt, should be scoring plenty again this season.

Thanks for the comments though :)

Thanks heaps gossiboy. Just received the news that Dempsey will not play round 1, so in comes Bale.
Lukaku I am very much taking a risk of. If it pays off, he fits my structure well so hopefully he plays.

Haha how did I anticipate you were gonna come back at me with the stats ;)
Of course the stats back you up, I am just a bit iffy on premier league transfers. I think out of Pienaar, Michu and Bent, Bent would be the one I am most concerned about because of his higher price tag. But yeah your team is good either way, so you have some calculated risks int there that are worth it.

CrowsFan

Haha well considering stats are the whole backbone of the game I don't see how I couldn't come back at you with stats ;)

But yes I do agree that transfers are always iffy cos you don't know how they will settle at a new club, but in Pienaar's case it is different. He is going back to a club he had been at for years, plus also spent the last half of the previous season at so there is no acclimatisation needed for his part. I would say Michu is the biggest risk since he is in a new league, but watching him in Spain last season he is class and so I reckon he will fit in well with how Swansea play.

Again thanks for the advice, if you want any help with your team let me know :)

Yeah true points.

I would like to ask if
a) De Gea v Cech
b) Lukaku's position in the WBA team.
c) Walters v other alternatives.

Cheers.
