Arsenal are hosting Chelsea, and Stoke are hosting Swansea

Usually I would be against anyone naming a defender as their captain... BUT as it turns out a defender has been the highest scorer of the round in 4 of the first 5 rounds, so sure why not ;)

Ayup guys,

Hope everyone is well, and engrossed in this years EPL Fantasy.

Looking for some advice for the first time this season....

Team:
Gkp: Jaaskleinen, Henderson
Def: Ivanovic, Williams A, Shawcross, (Demel, Barnett)
Mid: Yaya, Hazard, Fellaini, Pienaar, (Kacanaklic)
Fwd: RVP, Tevez, Berbatov

Playing 3-4-3 and have all ready done one trade this week. Dyer - Pienaar.

Have been considering Shawcross-Baines all week and need to pull the trigger tomorrow morning before Baines goes up any further tomorrow lunch time.

I have $2.4 in the bank, and have now thought maybe hold on the Shawcross-Baines trade, keep the $2.4 and wait to see who eventually goes off out of Aguero, and Rooney? The $2.4 gives me flexibility to make whatever change I need.

Which leads into a second question.... Aguero, RVP, Rooney, Tevez, and general rotations.. Whats the risk of having two from either one of those teams? I'm just not feeling Torres yet, and guarantee if I get Aguero, Tevez will be rotated in etc... What is everyones strategy thoughts on this conundrum?

OK firstly I am well thanks  ;)

Shawcross to Baines is a good trade but what about  dumping Williams instead? He has scored 1 point in the past 3 weeks and his two good scores came from Swansea's first two games when they won 5-0 and 3-0... I'd chop him over Shawcross

Having both RVP and Tevez is risky but hopefully one of them fires for you each week. As for which one you should cut - if you had to chose to dump one of them - that is a very hard call and they will both have their good and bad scores. RVP is injury prone but is now the centrepiece of Sir Alex's gameplan so he will get a lot of goals this season, and could be a better one to keep, but then again Tevez on his day can tear defences apart, he is just more prone to bench time (albeit slightly). Tough call, maybe get the opinion of others before dumping one of them

Hope that helps mate

Team as stands, with 0.4 in the bank:

GK:    Foster (Ruddy)
DEF:  Gibbs, Baines, Reid (Shawcross, Figueroa)
MID:  Hazard, Yaya Toure (C), Cazorla, Michu (Dyer)
FWD: Tevez (VC), Podolski, Lambert

Good team lads?

Holz

I currently have Ba captain. If you had him would you conisder it?

Cheers Tom,

I debated all week between Shawcross and Willaims all week. Shawcross has a chance to keep a CS this week, but after that his odds go down. Williams seemed more likely to keep CS over the next 5-6 weeks.

I didn't see this in time but went Shawcross to Baines before the price rise. At this point I'm happy...things may be different after Saturday  :o

And thanks for the input on the fwd dillema. Coming up with the right strategy in the fwds this year could make the difference.

Thanks mate! Very handy!

Thoughts on two of these to start?

Cazorla vs Chelsea, Demel vs QPR, C. Clark vs WBA

Clark the only home match...

Much appreciated :)

I thought prices just changed when enough people traded them in/out? Not at a specific time...

I don't like to send others up the garden path...but...  ;D.... Cazorla (only because your spending the $$ there for a reason). and Demel. I will be wrong lnow I say it but I can't see WBA not scoring against Villa.

Same time each day CF. As long as the player gets the NTI over the target NTI, currently 32,614, by the cut-off time for the day then they go up... or down as may be the case. if you look at the 'Changes' Tab on the tool above you will see every event that is logged. Prices up, Prices down, and 'Flagged' means the player has had their status changed e.g. Red or yellow as they have an injury/suspension/ANC etc..

The 'Flagged' changes appear to be the only ones that are updated at random times of the day.
