hello good south melbourne folk  ... sorry i mean sydney swans folk,   what is the go with mumford? is he still being effected by that back problem? or is it that pyke is taking game time off him in the ruck?
reason being in DT i have to upgrade giles and i can go single trade to mumford(which is pretty sideways at the moment if his scores dont improve).   or i can double trade and upgrade to another ruck.
im leaning towards the latter, but just trying a few options.

How are those Magpies going at Port Adelaide???

Both Mummy and Mummy's boy (Pyke) are on job share atm between the ruck and up front taking marks and kicking goals.

It looks like that they are still monitoring his work load, hence why Pyke is still in the team. if they weren't then LRT would be the back up ruckman.

um magpies yeah nah  cant remember,,  haha  nah umm 7th  yeah equal last on points, just percentage keeping us off the bottom... :)
cheers for the info,    u dont think pyke is in the best 22?
its been a few weeks since he came back, 7 weeks including the bye..  thats a fair time.. hmmmm its risky, the problem is if i wait another week theres a good chance he'll fall out of my single trade window..

No i wouldnt have thought that Pyke would be in the best 22 at the start of the year, but he has proved himself this year to be a star. His kicking needs to improve but his marking and rucking is looking good. Nic nat and cox only beat Mummy and Pyke by 2 in hitouts on the weekend and Mummy and Pyke won the hitouts to advantage.

Pyke will almost definately remain in the team. The fact that teams like West Coast are forced to use players like Darren Glass and he remains even with them pays for itself.

I don't think Mumford is the ruck you're looking for. He's up to a good AFL standard seeing as he beat Cox and NicNat but he isn't the premium fitness that he was last year

Just had a look at the prices, can you afford to go Giles to Griffin in one trade?? If so do that!!

yeah well keeping giles is another option..
may give him one more week with no Brogan playing, he may jag a solid 80... cant wait to have no trades left then dont have to think about this stuff anymore haha

Mummy is just not fit enough atm, but I expect him to fire late in the year when fit, around finals time.

Loving big Mike. His tackles stick and even though he doesn't look it at times, he's quite athletic for a fella of his size. He can kick reasonably straight, he just struggles a bit with weighting he kick. I never thought I would say it, but I think he's in our best 22.

Good to have Rocky back too, his game on the weekend wound back the clock. Kieren Jack has gone to the level we'd hoped he would last year before doing his ankle. Go the bloods!!!

I would also expect Pyke to remain in the team for the medium term. I think Horse has come to like the two big guys plan. Pyke has also been playing very well in the last few weeks, winning more than his fair share of hit outs, taking contested marks and kicking goals.
It does mean Pyke is stealing time/DT points from Mummy, so upgrading him may not be the best option.

Disclaimer - I have Mummy in both DT and SC
