Well put together article and agree.

You can add the fact that Rich's push of Jones is also categorised the same as Wellinghams what a joke!!! I do not condone what Rich did but to classify on it the same level as Wellingham which seems to be a benchmark is very inconsistent.

I've said this before and I'll say it again...

Everybody talks about consistency but in reality no two cases are exactly the same because there are so many factors that come into play. With that in mind, the AFL should scrap the points system and the MRP and just have the tribunal. Let the tribunal decide all cases based purely on common sense and the rules of the game, and if players have an issue with it then they can sit at the tribunal, as Merrett, Judd and Ziebell did last night.
