Selwood, Scott and Nartel arrived in Adelaide yesterday. I think he'll go..... :(
These guys only flew into town as a last ditch measure to pull him across the border back home, they know his mind is made up. It screams of unprofessionalism that they allowed it to get this far, as if they'd expected him to come home - but just as it looks as Trav is about to pen to paper at Alberton they fly in the big guns.

An extra zero might help him with his homesickness, + plenty of Cats likely to move into Veteran areas of the salary cap next season may allow them to grab Boak with a VERY lucrative contract that Port just can't afford.
Sums it up pretty well.

Has NOT put pen to p[aper yet, but by indications is set to sign.

Until he does we wait.

Noz

He will stay, The past couple of years John Butcher, Jackson Trengove, Alipate Carlile, Danyle Pearce and Robbie Gray amongst others all seeked a trade out but all decided to stay in the end as they wanted to be apart of the new era of Port. Hopefully we can keep Chaplin now.

I hope Boak stays. Geelong are on the decline & Port are improving.

I think it's good not just because it's Port, but because someone has turned down money ( I'd assume he'd get more at Geelong/North) for loyalty. Something not seen much over the last couple of years with the 2 new clubs.

Now the wait until he signs.

Did you miss last nights game Windi?

Good to see Boak sticking around, admirable  8)

Rumors are of around 600k for two seasons = 1.2 million, meaning Port will have to trim some fat.

Geelong had tabled 450k a season, but for an unspecified longer period.

I'm not so sure he would have been offered more money by Geelong (North were never in the hunt so irrelevant in this discussion).

IMO he copped a lot of unfair criticism in the media during the last couple of months about this.

Also as a side issue, I'm not sure the club would be thrilled that their former premiership captain has been telling every media outlet in the land that he has agreed to re-sign before it actually happens and divulging the goings on of internal team meetings.
