He's in only 1 team of the 5 I'm playing this week. Pretty surprising.
Exactly..
You would think most teams would have cover at this stage of the season.
I have Porplyzia & Saad covering for Bud & Martin.
If the ladder remains the same in one of my leagues, I will be the only 1 in the top 4 with Buddy in my team.
He could be the difference to me having a week off the following week.
Yeah I've got Zorko & Hall covering Franklin and Martin this week. If Zorko keeps it up it looks like Martin will be a mid/fwd bench cover once Franklin is back.

Don't forget also that buddy is at 600k+. I wasn't going to trade him, but the extra 150k I got from sideways trading him to goodies allowed me the cash able to finish my team

LF

Kept him since Zorko is doing so well i have been playing Zorko and benching my underperformers so i just play them instead and Treloar covering Martin.

the flying hawk

I wouldn't trade franklin just because he is out with a hamstring injury they say he will miss three weeks but come on its buddy he won't miss three probably just 2 8)

yea it is a fair chance - there have been many examples of clubs saying a player is out for 4, comes back in 2. who knows really, but trading him would be unique for everyone. if you were copping a zero the goodes trade would absolutely appeal to me.

i kept him as despite having both buddy and martin out, i still have room for emg smedts up forward.

one man, who is saving our bacons - ZORKO what a gun he is good to watch too, just gives and gives for his team. come to essendon mate!

[/quote] No chance he will want to be part of our 2014 Premiership

Love the way this bloke goes about it.
How was he missed by recruiters for so many years? Who knows how many more Zorko's there are out there!!

That is what I am thinking too.
He even said himself that he will miss 2 weeks when he appeared on ON THE COUCH.
Now the medicos might disagree who knows, but if he is right to go I am sure they will play him.
Remember the hawks are playing for a top 2 spot, they will need all their firepower out there to achieve that goal. If he is right the hawks will play him.

Glad they have traded him out. Wastes one of their trades and means comes finals advantage us who kept him. The number 1 fwd. Why would you trade him out? In some cases they may plan on getting him back but at 600k and x amounts of trades left it has to be frought with danger. Go us!

Could turn out to be more as I doubt they want to rush Buddy back too soon....

No chance, it will be 3 weeks max, trust me.

he still got the 236 score and earnt it so why make up an average without that score seeing that most people get him in expecting a double century from him once or twice a year guess i'm saying making up an average without his highest score is pointless

Because 236 is an outlier. If Buddy had a round where he scored 20 (maybe got concussed or something) I would have subtracted that round aswell. You can reasonably expect a score from Buddy within say 50-180. Anything outside that range is more than likely an outlier and cannot expect him to produce that sort of score again this season...

woofy

i cringed all the way to lock out. traded him out for pav as i already have goodes. was copping a donut in the forward line because of murdoch, sitting outside the top 8 and playing top of the ladder team. im hoping i get through the following rounds without any LTIs as now my teams finished.

if i was top 4 i wouldnt have traded him out but saying that id say only top 2-3 are safe in the 8 in this tough league.

236 is the reason why you have Buddy. Ridiculous to exclude from average

I traded him out. Not worried about Goodes not matching Franklins output. If Goodes plays all remaining games, expecting nice overall points gain plus the handy $170k to spend elsewhere.

Runnin Scared

What people seem to be forgetting is the the general may not hit Buddy during the finals as he is having a three week rest now. However Pav & Goodes may be hit.. On eless player to worry about covering.

Just gotta worry about covering him for 3 weeks leading up to finals, which are must wins for many...
