i think you really need a few really good uper or lower priced midpricers. next season when picking midpricers i want to go for ones who beyond anything are clearly underpriced - but the midpricer must have a good fixture for the 1st 7-8 games.

in hindsight, starting goodes/fyfe/chappy was wrong, all were 550k+   i think 500k for a FWD premo is what i'm looking for
i think you pick your locks in each line, regardless of price and look for every dollar of value you can elswhere.
and rookie selection is essential! i wil not be starting with a lachie neale/ledger/darley next year! i thought their scoring potential was better than other rookies. cost me early having heaps of crap rookie scores (but many SCérs have had carnage this season) - and i went guns and rooks

A mid of Swan and Ablett (just to be safe) with Cotchin and A. Swallow is a very realistic looking mid set up for me next season.

thats actually exactly what i'm thinking at the moment!! exactly that starting line up! except if lids doesn't keep his DPP it will be a toss up between cotch and lids for M3 i reckon  :(

wouldn't mind fitting D.Swallow in there either!!

chapman was only 500k and boosted his average by 5 points. Goodes + fyfe were only bad picks because they got injured.

Anyone thinking of starting with Zorko? He's an absolute chief this year.
And if Sidey & Beams arent FWD + MID then it's going to be really hard for the forwardline... But then again Rockliff could go FWD + MID he's been forward a LOT this year - if so he's locked in.

tbagrocks

I'm hoping Jack Redden stays close to his current price, and i'll be on

Kellogscrunchynut

Definitely Zorko in forward line next year.

demon_spud

Zorko, Cox with MPP, Nic Nat, Carrots, GAJ,...
The rest depends on their first half year matches before the 2 byes each team has.

Almost have David Swallow locked in, to join Swan, Murphy and Pendles.

Not a premium but I have atley locked in my defence for next year.

This looks like a rather good team, though your benches are a bit optimistic. I doubt Staker, Nicoski, Macaffer will be cheap enough for bench options. Everything else I have few qualms about. I would probably consider Laidler, Hodge, Rischitelli, Luke Ball, Embley, Marc Murphy and some others. A lot depends on the discounts & positions. It will be hard picking undervalued mids and forwards, since there are so many. I know some people are reticent about picking Robbie Gray, but 2013 will be the year that you SHOULD pick him because he'll be good value. Every other year he's been questionable value.

Out of the forwards it will be hard to pick out of Cloke, JJ Kennedy, LeCras, Goodes, Sylvia, Knights,  etc. Sylvia will probably represent good value unless he finishes off this year with a few tons.
