Beams & Sidey won't be DPP next year I wouldn't think.

Seriously, how the flower was Stevie J not a DPP this year? And Beams & Martin were.

I don't like how you are 100% certain that Deledio, Beams and Sidebottom will be DDP.

I doubt any of those players will be DDP.
i think deledio will defiantly keep his dpp and beams maybe don't think sidebottom will though but might go forward now cause pendlebury is back.

Most of this year premium will still be next years premiums
Their year averages will be round the same

eg premium mids 110-120 avg, back 85-90 avg, fwd 90-105 avg
picking ablett over say cotchin next year will hardly have an impact unless injuries

but picking a rookie that avg 70 with good job security over a rookie avg 50 plays infrequently does hurt

rookie research is more vital!

then there is picking break out players

i have no luck with breakouts player therfore have no advice

3 things i will watch next preseason for are:

Change of coach and style
Change of club players for more opportunity
Change role/position to more midfield time

Windigo

Picking breakout players is nearly impossible.

Obviously, Shuey, Sloane, Scooter etc were slightly obvious....But are they super premiums? No.

So next year for me, it's guns & rookies.

For instance, this year I took a punt on Golby at 270K. It wasn't a complete disaster, but in hindsight, picking up Marty Clarke for over 100 K difference was a better choice.

I don't think I have seen Delideo play in defence this year. Doesn't he lead in like inside 50's or something?

Windigo

He runs through the midfield from the defensive 50, and cuts up the defense like his a hot knife through butter.

His DPP will be lost next year IMO....

EZA100

he will sometimes get to run off that half back line i just hope that dream team see him as a back pocket  ::)

Mr.Craig

I'm thinking of going with a slightly younger team in 2013. Beams, Cotchin, Watson, Pendles, Hanley, Robinson, Birchall, NicNat, Roughead and Carrazzo/Lids if they are DPP should make up the guts of my DT.

The older guns like Swan, Boyd, GAJ etc. will still be considered. I'll just see how they travel in the preseason first.

Goddard, Shaw, Martin, Mitchell and Cloke are unlikely to get another run.

This is my Defence for 2012.

D1 - Bryce Gibbs
D2 - Grant Birchall
D3 - Pearce Hanley
D4 - Not sure.

What I'm going to do next year is base my team on the highest averaging players in the last 3 years.

But then go and see how consistent & more importantly how durable they are. That means no Waters.  :P

Mr.Craig

My players will need to perform well in an IQ test. More Duigan's and less Cloke's please.

Waters has been great for 15 rounds pretty much, I will pick him again next year for sure.

My Mids are set: Ablett or Swan (one will always start the year dropping in price, was Swan this year), Boyd, Watson, Murphy

Def:  Gibbs, Waters, Dempsey, Carrazzo (if he is Def)

Fwd: Franklin, Chapman, Zorko

write off martin at your own peril, if this wasn't his true breakout year what about next year  :o watch closely how he finishes this year, but i reckon i'll still start with him next year...

interesting to see you've got zorko in there! it'll be interesting to see how many people pick him up next year seeing as he will be pretty damn pricey haha, but you can't argue with an average like that!!
