I don't know about you guys, but this has been a terrible year for me.
So I'm already thinking about next year!

For my MID I'm thinking to start with Ablett (29), Pendlebury (25), Cotchin (23) and someone else really unique.
DEF probably Heppell (21), Deledio (26), Carazzo (29), Birchall or Suckling (both 25)
FWD probably Robinson (24), Martin (22), Sidebottom (22) or Beams (23).
- (...) = age next season

Which premiums will you guys start with? Is anyone going risky and getting a rookie? Who will get too old for next year? Please throw around ideas and show us your definite premiums for next year!
;)

Windigo

Gaj, Swan, Boyd & Redden.

EZA100

gaj, pendlebury, cot chin, boyd sounds good and in the forward line going all midfielders so beams, lewis, robinson

wharf_army

Swan, Murphy, Pendlebury, Shuey

Next year will players lose their DPP??
eg Beams, Sidebottom, Deliedo etc

as nice as it is plan premiums now, there isn't a whole lot to be gained from it
Pre season form and position should determine side

It is handy to start rookie research now

for example the following players may not play this year and be cheap next year:

BRAD CROUCH
SAM DOCHERTY
ELLIOT KAVANGH
MAJAK DAW
TOM MITCHELL

Also start research of potential top draft picks:

@wharf army your right i was looking at the nab u18 championships just never got around to watching it. sam docherty looks a good pick but could get chosen and go up in price. there is players from the draft that are looking good whitfield, daniher, grundy, viney, kennedy and menzel.

nickstiges

I think I'll start with something like GAJ, Swan, Boyd & Cotchin as premos with Jaegermeister, Whitfield, Hrovat & Viney as rookies probably change them depending on where they're drafted and if they're likely to play a fair bit.

EZA100

hey nickstiges heard we have 3 picks in the top 30? and then we get nathan krakour for compensation from gold coast.

HBTD22

I think Luke Dalhaus will be a good F7 next year. Nice 72 avg this year and drops a 90+ every couple weeks.

Cotchin definitely in the mid. Watson too maybe? I think Luke Shuey would be a lock up FWD if he gets DPP.

EZA100

yeh i think some new dpps next year will be
gibbs def/mid
shuey mid/fwd
griffiths def/fwd
blair mid/fwd
watts def/fwd

Like a lot of others, I'm thinking that GAJ/Swan/Boyd is essential!
Another interesting option would be Hodge if he gets a good discount...

EZA100

oh and i forgot kade simpson as a mid/fwd.

hodge wouldn't be a bad pick if he got below that 450k mark and got his dpp back but is very injury prone with the soft tissue injury.

Yep, for sure. I would throw him in at D6 or 7 straight away if he was cheap enough!

I don't like how you are 100% certain that Deledio, Beams and Sidebottom will be DDP.

I doubt any of those players will be DDP.

nickstiges

Wouldn't be surprised if Rockliff was given mid/fwd status considering his stints in the forward 50 this year for the Lions, would be an auto lock for my team.
