Giles > Jacobs (1 trade) or Cox and Maric (2 trades)

Giles to Jacobs (4 trades left and 8k in the bank)
10 (58.8%)
Williams > Couch (or another rookie) giving me DPP and Giles > Cox (3 trades left and 30k)
3 (17.6%)
As above but to Maric (3 trades left and 10k)
4 (23.5%)
Another option? (such as another ruckmen below 385k)
0 (0%)

Have just enough cash to go straight from Giles to Jacobs (thanks to downgrading Ellis to J. Alllen (don't ask... in fact no scratch that ask Noz!), and Hargrave to Carrazzo last week), or downgrading Williams to Couch or one of the other rookies on offer (such as McIntyre), and upgrading Giles to either Cox or Maric.

5 trades left, and 71k in the bank.

To be honest, I feel that I won't be losing much by bringing in Jacobs over Cox or Maric (maybe 10-15 points per week?), and I'm actually a bit annoyed I brought in Goldstein over him after Rd. 11 (although Goldy has been excluding last weekend).

Cheers lads.

Edit: Should probably add that I have a completed team (bar the fact that Hayes is my M6... hopefully that won't hurt me too much), and that I'm going for league. The extra trade (in terms of getting Jacobs over Cox/Maric) could be really useful come finals, but other than that, I'm not planning on using any more trades prior to the finals as I'm not playing in really difficult teams until then.

I think Giles to Jacobs is the best bet. At this stage of year theres a massive difference between 3 trades and 4 trades (ok yes 1) but it could be make or break. by now im not sure how important the DPP link is depending on who u have on your bench. But for me save the trade.

+1 Have to agree here and keep the extra trade as they will be gold soon

This, my friend, is your downfall.

Lots of coaches still have 8+ trades left, theres lots of cows still coming through and players like Maric, Sidebum & Beams will be upgrade targets for these coaches from now until finals ...Rd 18 & 19 are looking like  great rounds to double trade (Goodes, Roughead, Jacobs now etc)....many teams may look average now but will be much stronger by the time finals roll around

Nearly half of team selections this weekend have new players listed...opportunities everywhere for patient coaches

Agree with the Giles--> Jacobs. Jacobs seems to have really lifted since the byes.

Everyone is bullish on Jacovs after last week, but Cox is a must... You'll kick yourself for not bringing him in.

Yeah that's what I'm worried about... would have saved me two trades (started with Mumford and then traded him to Hmac (which still took me 2 weeks after he first got injured) before getting Goldstein...), and left me a hell of a lot better off but what can you do :P Still I have a feeling Jacobs will have a pretty good finish to the season... you would think WC would rest Cox at some stage near the end of the season too... with no playing benchies in the rucks for me now (unless Redden keeps getting a game and Stephenson gets recalled), that could really hurt me, and I think Jacobs is definitely less of a risk to get rested.

To be honest I'm sure that'd be the case in most decent leagues, but in mine the bottom 6-8 teams are genuinely showerty, and it just so happens I'm playing most of them at the back end of the season :P
