Value picks for next year

As many DTers that have been dealt with carnage this year I'm sure that they are excited for the value picks of next year, like me :D.

So far I've had my eyes on a few, either for getting a discount from missing heaps of games, form slumps or injury/sub affected games affecting their averages.  I'm trying to keep them reasonably DT relevant and my list so far is:

Robbie Gray - Played the 2 games before going down with that horrible knee injury.  I'm not sure if he'll be right until midseason, could be a good cheap upgrade target.  I know that he's not a proven premium yet, however this was meant to be the year that he was to break out, and it could well be next year.  Averaged 67 and will get a generous discount for next year, putting him well into midpricer territory.

Gary Rohan - Played 4 games and is averaging 46.75 however will be priced below that, making him a very cheap midpricer.  I'd still steer clear of him as I think like Gray he won't really come good until mid-season and even without the injury-affected game his average was still poor.

Nathan Fyfe - Played 4 games and is averaging 80.5.  He is likely to come back this season so I am sure that he will improve that average, however I think that he will still be underpriced due to that injury-affected 24.  Also I'm not quite sure how many games you need to miss to get a discounted price, but that may also come into play.

Marc Murphy - Had that form slump of an 80 and a 60 before his injury-affected 27.  This brings his season average down to 98.75 from playing 8 games, which is well below his average of 111 in 2011.  Keep in mind he's coming back very soon so he might even be a good value pick this season, but I still think that he'll represent good value next year.

Luke Hodge - Averaging 66.5 from 2 games.  Is due to come back in 2-3 weeks so no doubt he'll increase that, but will still represent good value as a stepping stone to a super-premium next year, or could even be a M6.

Andrew Carrazzo - I think will still be good value next year.  Is averaging 91 at the moment but would be averaging 106 without that 1 against Essendon.

Matt Priddis - Would be averaging 101 without that concussed 17 earlier in the year, but is averaging 94.  Will be 'decent' value but will be awkwardly priced, and no doubt will increase that average in the latter half of the year.

Adam Goodes - I don't think that his price will be discounted from those 7 games that he missed, but when he came back from injury he had those 2 ordinary games that brought his season average down to 85, but as we all know he finishes seasons well so that average will increase.

The guys who missed the whole season:

Mark LeCras - Averaged 86 in 2011 and will be heavily discounted, and if he repeated that average could well be a F7 keeper.

Andrew Krakouer - This guy was very DT relevant as a rookie in 2011, and averaged 75 for the season.  Will be discounted but is a no for me.

Brent McAffer, Travis Varcoe (may come back this season I think) and Daniel Menzel - Were never really DT relevant and I don't really think will be next year.

So who are your locks for next year?  Any other names to add?

KoopKicka

Brent Staker will be a lock if he is DEF/FWD. Considering JJK as well. Another I will be keeping an eye on is Allen Christensen. That kid is a bloddy freak! (Well not kid, hes 23 I believe :P) Im also keeping my eye on Matthew broadbent, depending on his price I might get him in. Shuey is also a lock if MID/FWD.

jabroni

murphy, fyfe, carrots, goodes will be underpriced so will jump on them the rest are not worth the hassle unless priced around porplysia levels

A couple of guys who suffered from form slumps just came to mind - Judd and Rischitelli.

Judd is averaging 92 compared to 102 last year, and Rischitelli is averaging 66 compared to 96 last year.

Also I forgot Leuenberger, who averaged 57 from 3 games

Adamant

Nathan Bock? Averaged 80 in 2011...could be a good cash cow or even a D7 keeper. Pendles will be slightly underpriced due to his sub-affected 59 but will be in my team anyway next year.

Adamant

Oh and as for underpriced, Zorko would be averaging 108 if you exclude his sub-affected 26 which has brought his average down to 98..

Capper

Spanger for the swans, also Bock for GC

Kellogscrunchynut

Leuenberger should be a lock for all teams if he is up and running and with no equivalent of Giles for next season expect him in many teams.

This one was posted almost a month ago and it's far more detailed and includes information on rookies, for those of you who can be bothered reading the whole 14 pages, it could prove valuable when building your team for next season.

Kellogscrunchynut

Yeah i've seen it before but never had the time to properly look through it, basically I skimmed over the first page or 2.

Sorry guys, hadn't seen it yet, was just too excited for next year  ;D

Of your list only fyfe and carrazzo would seriously interest me at this stage.  Possibly Murphy but only if he has a  ripper pre-season.

yorgis

wonder how many dters next year will say ' nah he's too injury prone' about a few players on that list ??????/
