How to manage the rest of the way home...

The situation:
Trades left: 4
Money left: $102,300
Position on league ladder: 1st
Record: 11-2

Next few teams are 10-1-2, then 4 teams at 9-4. I have to play the #2 team, then 3 teams currently ranked between #7 and #11 on the ladder. Should be well positioned to finish top 4.




This is my lineup most weeks. This week Smedts or Ellis comes in for Goddard, Dickson in for Buddy, Boomer into forwards in place of Martin. Think I have reasonably good cover for suspensions or short term injuries at DEF, MID and FWD - ruck not so much.

Since I'm looking good for top 4, do I stash away my trades until the finals? Once I get to finals (or last week of regular season), do I use a downgrade (Dickson?) to grab a heap of cash and then upgrade Giles to someone like Cox? Hold off in case I suffer injuries in finals? Try to upgrade a less productive MID (Stanton, wtf has happened to him lately?) for a guy like Swan or Pendlebury? This is only my second year of playing fantasy footy so I'm pretty new to the whole strategy.

As you are well placed I would sit and assess. 4 trades and $100+k going into finals will be great and possibly an advantage.
