Pumas Round 14 Team

Def - Fisher, McMahon, Houli, Roberton
Mid - Ablett, Sloane, Cross, Wallis
Fwd - Roughead, Blair, Whitecross, Wright
Ruck - Jacobs
Int - Griffin, Minson

Emg - Hannebery, Porplyzia, Tuohy

Captain - Gary Ablett
Vice Captain - Rory Sloane

In - Dylan Roberton, Will Minson
Out - Tony Armstrong, Ryan Harwood

Just the two changes this week in the Puma camp. Minson is recalled after playing a great game in the reserves, whilst Roberton has shown enough potential to get the last back spot with Waters out injured. As usual Ablett remains captain, but with his last 3 scores of 64, 87 and 110 for the Pumas there is a strong consideration to demote him to the VC gig until he finds some better form... But knowing what he can do when he finds that form, I'm not risking taking it off him.

Go Pumas!!

#22
Captain Brett Deledio needs to prove himself, he let himself, and his team down last week. Now is the time to lead by example, with a do-or-die clash against Toronto. Chris Yarran looks to have returned to form, and Jason Gram has a big week in the AFL with game #150. I'm hoping he steps up for game #10 for Seoul. Matthew Scarlett knows competition for his spot is fierce, with Nick Maxwell, Harry O'Brien, Eric Mackenze and even Ben Rutten and Tom Lonergan putting pressure for the senior side.

A superb effort by James Kelly and a solid effort by Bryce Gibbs aside, the rest of the midfield was disappointing last week. Ryan Griffen needs to find consistency, while Jude Bolton came crashing down to earth. Bryce Gibbs earns himself a start 4 position again, pushing out the suspended Jack Steven. Tom Scully returns from injury, and Stephen Coniglio pushes out the unlucky Liam Anthony.

Ben McEvoy has been very solid, and with an injured Brent Renouf and Dawson Simpson still building fitness, McEvoy has a lot of pressure.

Patrick Dangerfield needs to step up to be the star we know him to be! In all honesty, the forward line is struggling but veteran Luke Power returns. Hayden Ballantyne and Alwyn Davey maintain there spots, basically because of limited options to replace, Chris Dawes goes to Pyongyang and Charlie Dixon named emergency.

D: #8 B Deledio (Capt), #12 M Scarlett, #21 J Gram, #15 C Yarran

M: #16 R Griffen, #9 J Kelly, #4 J Bolton, #1 B Gibbs

R: #10 B McEvoy

F: #6 P Dangerfield (V-Capt), #3 H Ballantyne, #23 Alwyn Davey, #17 Luke Power

I: #19 T Scully, #5 S Coniglio

E: #2 L Anthony, #20 N Maxwell, #7 C Dixon

In: #17 L Power, #19 T Scully, #5 S Coniglio

Out: #7 C Dawes (omitted), #2 L Anthony (omitted), #14 J Steven (suspended)

Not so sure Holz, your midfield - where most games are won is:

Thomas-Mundy-Barlow-Ward versus Ebert-Howlett-McLean-Pfeiffer :/

Maybe somebody else besides Pfeiffer! But I'm starting to believe in miracles!

With a season-high score posted for the team last week, off of the back of Captain Cox's superb effort, The Eagles will be taking a lot of confidence into this weeks game, a crucial game in our efforts to avoid the spoon. The team fielded this weekend is missing only Nathan Fyfe from it's best XV, and I feel that we are currently in the best position this season to post a winning score
