Trade Plans:

This week:
Ellis --> Mid Rookie (Probs McIntyre)

Next week:
Adams --> Fwd Rookie
S. Shaw --> Pendlebury (assuming he plays this week)

Do I stop there?

Given Franklin is out should I trade Franklin --> Goodes instead of doing the Adams --> Rookie trade?
With the Ellis trade it gives me 380k to use to upgrade Sam Shaw --> Pendlebury. Leave me with atleast 80k to use elsewhere. Maybe upgrade Zorko or Newman or Giles closer to finals.

Trade Pattern instead:
This week:
Ellis --> McIntyre
Franklin --> Goodes

Next week:
S. Shaw --> Pendlebury (agains if he plays this week)
(Newman --> Scotland
or Giles --> ??? aswell...)

Oh yeah and I have 8 trades before making any this week and 23k in the bank...

Please help every time I make a trade plan it changed because new players start performing or someone gets injured etc etc...

Ringo

I would keep Buddy for 3 weeks as he will be required for finals. Do not waste a trade. IMO Buddy will outscore Goodes over the period.

This week I would do

Ellis to McIntyre/Newman if named (Both DPP)
Adams to Goodes  (Goodes will not be this cheap again so if you want him now is the time to jump on B/e 49 this week as well)

With both Carazzo and Goddard in mids you have painted yourself into a corner.  Hate to suggest this but maybe upgrade Goddard to Pendles and look at another Prem who is scoring in Def.  Will be hard to go Shaw to Penndles unless Pendles drops greatly in cash.

Pendles would drop to 580k I reckon especially if he gets vested (doubtful but hopeful)...BE 169 and playing Cats, I don't think he will bottom out at anything more than 600k. Thanks to Shaw's 98 he should get to around 280k this week possibly close to the 300 mark in 2 weeks. I have more than enough to downgrade ellis and adams and upgrade Shaw...

If Franklin that much better than Goodes?

Ringo

Statistiics would say that Franklin will gain you 10/15 ppg over Goodes.  Averaging 118 this year.  Goodes last year averaged 108.  That is why I was suggesting both for you but your decision.  Also in Goodes favour is he traditionally scores greater in the last half of the year. Pendles is averaging 124

Pendles and Goodes avaerage 232
Buddy and Goodes Average 222
Pendles and Buddy Average 242

As you can see not a lot between the three but can be the difference between winning and loosing a GF. If your trading startegy and cash allows i would try and get all three.

charliesheen

Definitely keep one of Ellis/Sam Shaw for bench coverage for year.

Ellis looking good to keep I think.

I can't get all 3. Not in anyway that I can think of without wasting too many trades...

Here is the best way I think I can do this:
This week:
Ellis --> Goodes
Adams --> McIntyre (or playing rookie)

Week after:
Zorko --> Rookie
S. Shaw --> Pendles

I just think it is a waste trading Zorko when he is play as well as Lewis/Robinson/Goodes who are keepers...

That means I have a defender in the midfield...

Darley will make cash but I would get rid of him first before Ellis/Shaw

Where do I get the $$$ from?

How does this look as a final team??? with 5 trades left

B. Deledio, B. Goddard, H. Shaw, C. Newman, A. Carrazzo, M. Suckling
G. Ablett, S. Pendlebury, J. Watson, J. Selwood, D. Swan, M. Priddis
McEvoy, Giles
L. Franklin, S. Sidebottom, P. Dangerfield, M. Robinson, P. Chapman, J. Lewis, D. Zorko

charliesheen

Lots of options.  Could sell J.Redden for DerickX or A.Hall for McIntyre

Definitely would not go selling your rookies with best js.

J Redden I see. Didn't strike me that he is still there. But Hall won't give me much cash...

Also I have to trade a defender so i can get Goddard and Carrazzo into my defence again...

If darley can play 1 more week and go up even 20k I can trade him, but doesn't look like that is going to happen...

charliesheen

You will need 2 sets of downgrades.

1. Darley > McIntyre
2. Redden > Derickx

That should give you enough money for Goodes & Murphy/Pendlebury who should drop in price.

And keep one of Ellis or Shaw for back coverage.

I'm guessing you mean do something like this:

Darley --> McIntyre
Adams --> Goodes

Redden --> Derickx

S. Shaw --> Pendles

Only problem is after the first 3 trades I only have 160700 k in the bank. Not gonna be enough I think to go Shaw --> Pendles

If I forget about Goodes, then I have 280k which should be enough (hopefully). Even if not the extra cash could come in handy for another sideways trade when needed...

SO what about:
nothing this week
next week Darley-->McIntyre and Redden-->Derickx
week after Shaw-->Pendles?

charliesheen

Murphy will be 430K in 2 weeks someone to consider over Pendlebury.  Sylvia is also 390K if that helps.

Capper

Richmond play GC and Ellis has a BE 59 and he should make it
Adams has a BE 45 and should make it against the crows

You need to move Goddard and Carrazzo to your backs.

This week trade out Darley for Mcintyre (move Goddard to backs) and Giles for any ruckman.

Then next week trade out Adams and Ellis for any prem mid and a rookie mid/fwd

The Bomber

I guess I could settle for Murphy... REALLY want Pendles though. He is the only player in Collingwood that I respect. Personally rate him as the 2nd best player in the league...pushing first with Gabletts form...but thats going off topic...

Forget Pendlebury? NOT getting Sylvia, not worth a midfield position... Murphy maybe, makes life a lot easier...

Pendles will be a ultimate unique come finals won't he? I guess Murphy will be as well but can he find form again...had a couple of bad games before getting injured...
