Just checked and last year the game opened on July 21, and the actual season started on August 13.
This year the first round isn't till August 18 so may open a little later. But it should be opening soon...

What extra measures will be taken to account for late signings, because half the transfers occur on August 31st.

That's just luck of the draw Jukes. Whoever picks them up first gets them.

Just like when we are in the drafting period people will still be getting signed. Such as last year it was Fletch's turn to draft a player when Aguero was signed so he snapped him up and no one else could get him.

All part of the fun :)

It's the same deal. If you pick a player and they get traded then thats just bad luck ;)

Ok so using random.org I have now generated the draft order for the comp :)

So that's the first round, second round will be reversed :)

So turns out even though the game is not open yet they have released the player list of what position everyone is classified as and what price they are at (although that does not matter for us). So how would everyone feel about starting the draft on Saturday? This gives us plenty of time to study the list and work out who we want :)
