Is he worth considering? I've had him in previous years and been disappointed, but he looks very good value at his current price for some cover.  What do people think?

I wouldn't. No doubting his DT talent....But too risky at this stage of the game IMO.  :-\

worth considering as a F8 as cover. If I had the trades i would downgrade zorko to him and than upgrade elsewhere.

solid for cover, my wife bought in clancee pearce for a D8 /M7 DPP for cover this week, couldn't talk her out of it, she is ranked 9000 behind me but has 8 more trades, i'm actually Jealous think she will finish a lot stronger than me, doubt she will catch up tho :)

Sylvia would be a GREAT candidate for this purpose also. He is inconsistant tho, if he hits form and plays well and holds his spot he can average 100 easy, but he has also struggled to even hold his spot in the team for 2 years now....

You are right, it is very risky. I've got $318k left for a forward, which I quite need as Franklin looks to be out for this week. Any other recommendations?

It just seems a waste to get him in to play in Buddy's absence for a week then bench him...

I do already have Zorko, but he's on my field. I'm upgrading Hall (finally) and have a spare extra $74k on top of his price.

Sylvia would have to be 200k or less for me to ever consider him again .. burnt me last year ? or year before ? surprisingly i cant remember.

depends if you have enough trades to downgrade hall instead and upgrade the new rook in a few rounds or another rook to a premium. not a lot of options but does depend on your trade situation.
