Plastic Boy

Walker is lucky to have escaped with 3-4. Reckless and potentially career ending that type of tackle on Morris.

As for Goddard, I'd be very surprised if he doesnt get off or downgraded to 1 week, very soft tap.

for those saying it was unfair on taylor walker, you really need to have a look at it again. Morris is lucky he doesn't have a broken neck.

And for those comparing it to buddy's tackle (i'm assuming its this one) i'm sorry but Walker's is much much worse.

Exactly! +1

lollipop man

Can't believe p[people on here actually don't think there's anything wrong with that tackle, ffs he could have easily dumped him right on his head and broken his neck.

having watched the replay numerous times I'd like to retract my comments I made earlier - I'd only seen one shot of the tackle on a News service (and in SA they don't tend to bag Crows players) and that view didn't look that bad but the replays on the link do.

Dumb tackle from Walker and I reckon 2-3 weeks was a fair punishment given the potential consequences which (luckily) did not occur to Morris. Hopefully Walker wakes up and cleans up his act so this doesn't happen again in the future. Gonna be a gun of the future but needs to mature

I apologise for enraging anybody.

but I don't think I'm alone in saying I still don't understand why the umpires awarded a free kick to him

Agree with everything that's been said about how many weeks he could get and stuff but really don't exaggerate the damage. To me it looked like he was more dropped on his head in the end and not slammed down and honestly everyone takes plenty of falls like that in their life and turn out fine. Sure in a freak circumstance there could be some lasting damage but it's sure as hell not likely.
Walker does need to wisen up and go back to tackling school or something but just keep it in perspective. At the moment it feels like everyone to do with AFL is just trying to blow everything out of proportion. Heck did you guys see the way everyone jumped on Minson for what was essentially a mum joke?
/end rant

brilliantly said mate

Danyle Pearce overreacted a bit I think.. I know exactly what was said from an inside source of mine and it was nothing more than what you'd cop from a mate giving you a "ya mum" joke.

But that's a whole other topic ::)
