Probably something to do with his suspension earlier in the year for the same thing.

yeah but that incident was worse than last weekend - Harry Taylor was concussed in that tackle and Walker (rightfully so) got two weeks. Morris just got straight back up and wasn't dazed at all. 1 week would've been understandable, but clearly the MRP doesn't like the way Walker plays

Shouldn't be rough conduct if you don't even hurt the player IMO

Chelskiman

I predicted two weeks.  The tackle was awful, and he could have done serious neck damage to Morris.  He didn't but that's not the point.  Those tackles are exactly the kind that the AFL is trying to get rid of, so it's no wonder they threw the book at him to send a clear message that tackles like he did are unacceptable.

What i mean is does he have carry over points that would cause him to get 3 weeks even with an early guilty plea?

Dude you get weeks in Rugby for a tackle like that..

Thats how you break peoples necks and there is no reason to tackle someone like that...

Morris is just a tough nut but at the end of the day he could have broken his neck when he didnt need to.. If morris was knocked out he could have easily got more

pretty much. Morris wasn't hurt, but tackles like that have been removed from the afl because they're incredibly dangerous and have a high chance of serious injury, you can break someones neck like that.

that he didn't injure morris doesn't mean he should get off it... that's a flowering moronic statement. It's like carrying an illegal firearm, you can't be like- but I haven't shot anyone with it... I was just firing it down a crowded street for showers and gigs.

its me lads

why give him the free kick if they then go and suspend him for 3 weeks, sack the maggots that gave him the free kick. far out

that tackle's even illegal in nfl, where they have full protective gear and helmets.... and nfl has almost no rules (comparatively) for tackling.

not too sure, the article just says he's been offered 3 weeks for his tackle.. Crows coach Brenton Sanderson said he didn't see anything wrong with it so I wouldn't be surprised if the Crows challenged the decision - they'll need him against WC in Rd 17 but next two games are against Port and GWS so they may not

Either way Walker has to clean up his act now. This is the fourth time this season he has come under scrutiny from MRP - second time he's been found guilty - and a few years ago he would've gotten away with it but now he can't. The fans love the way he plays but clearly the AFL doesn't so something has gotta change.

Exactly!

HBTD22

People saying that because Morris wasn't injured that Walker shouldn't get weeks are stupid. It's about the action. Three weeks ban more than definitely appropriate.
