Getting riding Hargrave and Giles should be your priority.

You shouldn't be playing DT unless you have the swan master in your side  8)

....List them.  :P

Swanny was a lock round one, or a lock sometime in between then & now.

I dont have Swan and am somewhat devastated because he is kind of out of reach at the moment, I'm not willing to use all my cash to get him.

My Mids are Boyd, Mitchell, Ablett, Thompson, Selwood and Deledio (will be switching him back into backline once Goddard served suspension.

I will be looking at Pendles at my final mid spot, currently 500k and with a B/E of 198 or something, will pick him up around 430k I would think.

Swan will not play every game from here on in, Buckley will take the same approach as Geelong last year.

Beams will miss, Sidey will miss, Swan will miss, Cloke may miss..... They sit 1st on the ladder and should hold that spot for the remainder of the year once Pendles comes back.

So to answer your question, I believe Swan is not a must, while he is the best DT player, value needs to be considered also, and for almost 100k less Stanton averages 120 and is great value right now.

Dane Swan is the oxygen that provides life support to all that is Dream Team.

Swanny himself actually has hinted in an interview that the 2 rounds he missed followed by the bye has rejuvinated him and he thinks he is a strong chance of playing every gome till finals.
My opinion is he'll get 1 round rest, but its not enough to erase him from the equation, he is the best dream team scoring player in history and i think its wise to chuck him in the mids
