He's not a spud by any means but he's getting older and his DT scores are reflecting that.

while i agree he is not a spud, his age has got nothing to do with it. He has just turned 27 and infact should be in his prime, guys like swanny, boyd, mitchell, thompson are all older.

Def not an age thing... Rediculous call.

Firstly, learn to spell 'ridiculous'. And yes, it has to do with age. My point is that he's scoring worse than he did in 2010 (probably his best DT year) because he's older now. People/teams have worked out his game style and now can counter this.

That's the reason, not age.  If you're starting to slow down at 27, which is most people's prime, then you're in a lot more trouble than just being out of form.

I'm trying to say though that because he's been around for a while now, he's older, people have worked out his game plan. Not saying its his age specifically thats causing it, I mean that now that he's getting older and he's been around longer that he's been figured out.

Ahh, right, I get you now.

Probably my bad, I could've explained that one a little better haha. On topic though, don't think I'll be going Goddard again next year...

nostradamus

he doesnt seem to be the same player since all the "performance enhancement" rumours were flying around last year

SydneyRox

I am thinking that trading him out wouldnt be the worst idea....

I have enough trades to burn one and not bring him back...

Shaw or Birchall would head the list.

Alternatively, swap to mids and get pendles this week if he comes back...

Yeah l have the trades to burn one trading him out too, and am seriously considering doing it......the thing l'm going to be weighing up first is how he'll perform when he comes back

My gut says that he'll feel like he owes the coach and his team mates for such an undisciplined act, and could very well start ripping it up on his return

hmmm, what to do

He actually hasn't been that bad this year, averaging 91 and these will be the first games he'll miss for the year. 2 weeks off should refresh him nicely for the end of the year.

DT Gun

you know what...

I would argue as to keep him but....

Trade him out, he is out of form, too old, angry and an all round DT dud!!

I hope you get heaps out of trading him to Heath Shaw (WTF) or birchall...

And people who are saying they have him worked out now... Every single team watches tapes of how every single player plays and what their role is! Every player is worked out!! Joel selwood gets tagged almost every single week, he isnt 27?

I guess i will just have to keep his crap, angry, past his prime, tagged ass in my backline for a crappy 95 average the rest of the season...

He just came back from a bye, he should already be refreshed.

For some ungodly reason I got it into me head not to have Goddard at the start of the season. I have been kicking myself all year and after bringing in Carrazzo last week Goddard was me next this week or next week. Its great to see him go as it will give me a leg up in me leagues for a couple of weeks. Finally some luck has gone my way instead of the carnage all year. Still R17 may be a good pick up.
