does clay smith being named on the ground mean he can't be the starting sub.
i think it happened before but he was still green.

Artax

anyone can be the sub no matter where they are named

My understanding is that they have to be named on the bench to be able to get named as the sub, although the team line ups may change by the time the game comes around.

You couldn`t be more wrong

Ellis was named on the field and ended up as starting sub so yes it is a possibility that Smith could be the sub.

Ricochet

last week Clay was named on the ball like he is now... and started sub

Windigo

Clay's always sub, he'll probably get it again...

Grazz

Doesnt mean alot when it comes to subs, AFL coaches and their games haha lying mungrels.
