Holding Giles as cover for Maric & Cox

Worthwhile? Surely Cox in particular having not missed a game will get a rest before finals, and really same goes for Maric as Richmond have an easy run home. I'm doing Stephenson -> Maric this week then Redden -> Campbell and Ellis -> Carrazzo next week. Leaves me with 2 trades and a complete team.

well my default thought is keeping giles as back up for my teams Patty ryder and cox. seems logical

Would be handy to have Giles as cover for as long as you dont need the cash then cash him in for those final couple of upgrades.

Very conservative and a bit of a luxury to be honest.

You should have trades remaining and if a Ruck gets injured then it is probably worth the sideways trade.

Would be good if say Cox gets a rest.

I'm torn between upgrading Giles or Stephenson to Maric, and I went HMac to Cox last week

Giles seems almost too good to have on the bench, but if rucks keep going down - like they have been all year - then Giles is more than solid cover.

Cox is aging and will most likely be rested soon but Maric may not, especially if Richmond are pushing for finals. Stephenson and Redden are unlikely to get more games but a downgrade to Campbell could generate some cash. Just depends on trades and whether you need to upgrade more players

After this years ruck woes windi its a tasty option. Keeping Giles cost the extra trade though down the track to get the cash.
If you go Giles to Maric/whoever now you save that trade  but no quality bench cover like Giles provides untill you want the cash. Dilemas dilemas.

I think its a very smart move if you are going for a league win. You can always downgrade Giles to do your last upgrade or 2 in the finals. In the meantime he provides excellent insurance for your rucks.
