Colli, having an auto pick if you miss out is stupid ::) It HAS to be that you get skipped and you pick whenever you are online, that's how the other drafts work and it went better, as the person picking still gets to pick someone that may fit their structure...

We now have 15 confirmed just BGK to confirm or not and then we decide if we need to cut a coach to go back to 14 teams, or we FIND another to take us up to 16, (if BGK doesnt confirm).

As soon as we finalise BGK or another coach we can start the rules voting. I haven't recieved much in the way of alternatives to rule changes other than the draft rules.

I would like to have eveeryones thoughts on options or alternatives to rules ( if there are any rules or settings you prefer a different rule that what is already laid out in this first post).

there is the home ground advantage and what that should be as well as the list of points in the second post in this thread and anything else you may like changed.

As soon as we confirm 14 or 16 teams we can vote on any rule changes which should take a week approx, then we can start which works well for Jayman if we aim for the weekend after next. Saturday start.

Think Jay said he is out from this coming Saturday to the following Friday.

That Saturday after next is also the deadline I gave all coaches to confirm entry.

Select ur sub, if any player scores under 10 u also get ur selected sub players score?

We probably want as many rounds out the way as possible before the season finishes, so maybe get ringo to do it?

I can put a YES / NO vote for a sub rule.

In order to do so you may want t odiscuss with others not a "general" way it will work, but find out what is POPULAR and give me an exact layout for how the "sub rule" will work.

If you discuss with other coaches and can get 9 or more to agree with your idea, then you will get it in when we vote on final rules and setup which are in dispute.

All RULES and SETUP will be exactly as I have laid out in this thread - EXCEPT where an alternative has been offered up, and which when voted on gets majority support. (in a 16 team league = 9 votes).

When all the rules and setup variations have been recieved i will post all up and EVERY team coach (1 coach per team) will need to cast thier vote on each item.

One of your players gets subbed. Any time for an injury, not for form (which could get complicated), then the named sub could come on and score for them. So say if I have Ablett who scores 25 and gets subbed out injured. I can use the sub player to play on and get a full score.

I think it more of an option as in you get 15 of your fittest players scoring, instead of say 14 of players scoring well and one who lets the team down. That player can be made up for it, through this sub rule.

yeh i pretty much get what ur saying i think.

my idea is just..

Select a SUB player. If a player on the feild scores  -10.5  you get that players score and the subs score.


nice and simple. pretty much the only way someone will score under 10 is if they are injured and subbed off anyway...

as i understand it

1. WHATLEZ = A player subbed off gets replaced by the player you named sub.

2. MONSTROM = A player scores less than 10.5 , they get the players score you named sub added to thier score.

I am overall not for the sub rule because it is basically just the same as an emergency replacing an unplaying player except the emergency (sub) replaces a low scoring/subbed player.

It also takes away the skill of naming a side that does not have a pleyer in it likely to be a sub on or off.

But I would be happy to have a sub rule, but I would not be happy to have to check every AFL game and find out who was subbed off and on to confirm teams in the ASIANS scoring, thats a bit much on top of everything else.

Keep the ideas coming on the sub rule, once again it is a matter of coming up with a rule that is popular as it will need 9 votes to go ahead.
