My thoughts:

MKG to Bobcats was shock
Didnt see the Cavs picking Waiters
Loving that TROB fell to Kings at #5
Barnes dropping to 7th was interesting
Suns getting Marshall is a nice replacement for Nash
Zeller to Mavs.  I like that pairing with Dirk back to PF
Sullingers medical meant he dropped - steal at 21 for Celtics
Thunder getting Jones III at #28 (hoping he was gonna drop to pick #36 for Kings)

Leonard (1 of the 3 centres I hoped would drop to miami has gone at 12)

Melo was supposed to be the best centre in the draft apparently but still not picked

valkorum

Zeller was most ready to go centre in draft followed by Melo and Leonard.  Drummond has biggest upside

Cicjose

i hope melo gets picked before miami get a chance cause im not interested in him not enough upside offensively when miami have Anthony and Turiaf as defensive minded centres

valkorum

Miami need a SG - hence the interest in Ray Allen as a FA.

Cicjose

#5
no we need a centre

with the lack of centres in the league and with the multitude of centres in the draft we should be getting one of them

valkorum

You dont need an offensive minded centre - you have LeBron, Wade and Bosch who can score 100 points between them.  You need a centre who can clog up the defensive keyway and force tough shots.

Cicjose

we have Turiaf for that and Anthony is our shot blocking centre

valkorum

So why do you need an attacking centre?  You need a SG who can hit shots to make the opposing team have to guard him.  This leaves the big 3 to 1 on 1 matchups, which is what you want.

Cicjose

because our centres are undersized

valkorum

That doesnt matter - they are there to just make shots tougher.

Cicjose

but the draft with a championship team should be to address weakness at any given position then get depth to maintain championship level

valkorum

Exactly - you have 2 x defensive centres already.  You either want prospects at SF, PF and PG or something at SG

Heat go with project PF Arnett Moultrie

Edit: I say project because he will be behind Bosh in the pecking order.

Cicjose

The Heat are trading Moultrie away for pick 45..... to Philadelphia and a future first round pick
