Future looking very bright for Lions.  Article worth a read when you consider the players named that have played Seniors on a regular basis as per the extract with exiting youngsters as well.  Remeber Claye Beams was Rising Star nomination in Round 1.

"Claye Beams is fresh from consecutive best-on-ground performances, while Jared Polec, Jordan Lisle, Aaron Cornelius and Patrick Karnezis have proven worthy of a senior recall.
That’s not to mention a host of in-form younger players including Sam Docherty, Callum Bartlett, Elliot Yeo and Jack Crisp.
Todd Banfield and Jesse O’Brien have also returned from injury and will be pressing for selection over the coming weeks.
But their opportunities will only come at the expense of an existing senior player. "

Nice selection problem for the selectors.

im not a brisbane supporter but you guys are looking good. you guys had a good run in the draft getting longer, docherty, yea and getting zorko from gold coast (they are probably kicking themselves got a no 34. draft pick). and you guys have got some improved players in hanley, hudson (who has saved you guys in the ruck), golby. having a good side is having more than 22 players that can play in the team. it would be good to see beams and raines tagging duo :). wouldn't count you guys out but you have to get past richmond ;)

Ive been waiting for this moment for a while now.

With such a young midfield (bar blacky) we will go along way in the future if we can keep the likes of rocky, redden, rich and zorko.

Me too Nyn really getting exciited about our future.  As the Grndad on FF been supporting the Bears/Lions since 88 so have seen a number of ups and downs and Rich, Redden, Rockliff, Beams and Sheldon excites me as much as Voss, Black, Lappin and Akermanis when they started their runs.

Ive been a Fitzroy man since 91(still am). And yes, im very excited for what lies ahead.

Still probably 2 years away from anything prolific though.
