ADELAIDE
After a disappointing loss to North Melbourne, few could blame coach Brenton Sanderson for swinging the almighty selection axe this week. Kurt Tippett will be assessed having suffered concussion, while fellow tall Shaun McKernan is no certainty after a poor showing. Small forward Tim McIntyre kicked five goals and his teammates Aiden Reily and Richard Tambling were all good for Sturt, Chris Knights raked up 34 disposals in his SANFL game, Lewis Johnston was pretty good for North Adelaide with three goals, while Graham Johncock was quiet with just 10 touches and a goal for Port Adelaide.
-Harry Thring

BRISBANE LIONS
Coach Michael Voss is unlikely to make changes for Sunday's clash against Melbourne to the team that mauled the Western Bulldogs last weekend. If fullback Matt Maguire fails to recover from an elbow injury, watch for a midfielder to come in and replace him with Niall McKeever and Joel Patfull more than capable of filling the defensive breach. Teenager Jared Polec's stint in the reserves might be short-lived after starring at the weekend.
-Michael Whiting

CARLTON
Skipper Chris Judd, who has carried niggling injuries of late, is reported to have benefitted greatly from the bye, but Chris Yarran (toe) struggled while trying to regain some match fitness with the Northern Blues. Jarrad Waite (back) has been ruled out for the match against the Hawks, but Shaun Hampson (back) should return after he was a late withdrawal against the Eagles. The Blues' VFL side managed just two goals at the weekend, but Andrew McInnes, Jordan Russell, Frazer Dale, Paul Bower and Ed Curnow were among the team's best players.
-Jason Phelan

COLLINGWOOD
The Magpies have ruled Scott Pendlebury out as he continues to mend his cracked tibia. Alan Didak has been missing since he tore his adductor in round 11 but has made speedy progress and is a chance to play but must prove his fitness at training this week. Chris Tarrant, who was withdrawn on the weekend with soreness, is in the same boat. Irish rookie Caolan Mooney kicked five goals in the VFL on the weekend but would need promotion for senior selection.
-Jennifer Witham

ESSENDON
Don't expect too many changes by the Bombers this week after their excellent win over Fremantle at Patersons Stadium. Angus Monfries will miss about a month clash after scans revealed he has strained his hamstring, but he might be the only change and there are several replacements available. Versatile 19-year-old Alex Browne continues to push for senior selection with good form in the VFL, while midfielders Sam Lonergan and Elliott Kavanagh were again solid for Bendigo Gold on the weekend. Ricky Dyson and Travis Colyer, too, could be in line for a recall to the AFL after being emergencies last week.
-Callum Twomey

FREMANTLE
Livewire forward Hayden Ballantyne will return against Collingwood this week after serving a one-match suspension, but midfielder Stephen Hill (ankle) and key defender Zac Dawson (knee) are "50-50" chances, according to coach Ross Lyon. Anthony Morabito played his sixth consecutive league game with WAFL club Peel thunder at the weekend, winning 20 possessions, but he will need to be assessed this week after suffering a possible concussion late in the match. Half-back Paul Duffield has responded positively to being dropped and will be considered for a recall.
-Nathan Schmook

GEELONG
Rookie-listed midfielder Cameron Eardley was the best player in Geelong's VFL side last weekend, while the star AFL-listed performers were small forward Shannon Byrnes, ruckman Orren Stephenson, onballer Simon Hogan and dashing defender George Horlin-Smith. George Burbury and Jordan Murdoch also stood out.
-Adam McNicol

GOLD COAST
After 10 weeks on the sidelines with a fractured elbow, small defender Jarrod Harbrow is available to play West Coast on Saturday. Harbrow sustained the injury against the Brisbane Lions in round four and has followed a meticulous rehab program. Despite a lack of experience, the Suns have indicated they will not rush Harbrow back into the Eagles' clash if they think he is underdone and needs a run in the reserves first.
-Michael Whiting

GREATER WESTERN SYDNEY
Greater Western Sydney has set itself for a red-hot crack at the Swans in the second local derby of the season at ANZ Stadium. Chad Cornes was rested against Melbourne on Sunday and Luke Power was only brought on in the third quarter as a substitute, leaving the veteran duo fresh for an assault on their cross-town rival. Jonathan Giles returned to the side against the Demons and will be ready to take on the Swans' Shane Mumford, while Nathan Wilson showed good signs in the forward line and would be expected to hold his place for another week.
-James Dampney

HAWTHORN
The Hawks will regain vice-captain Jordan Lewis from suspension for their big clash with Carlton at the MCG on Friday night. Brendan Whitecross, who missed the pre-bye win over the Brisbane Lions with groin soreness, should also be available. Captain Luke Hodge won't be playing. The Norm Smith medallist is back in full training, but has ruled himself out of a return from the knee injury he suffered in round six for at least another week.
-Mark Macgugan

MELBOURNE
Melbourne suffered a huge blow losing Mitch Clark for the season with a foot injury. However his absence creates an opportunity for Stefan Martin to force a contest up forward and play in the ruck. Lucas Cook's recent VFL form has been good but the club will be patient with him. Luke Tapscott returns from suspension, but is not an automatic selection. Although he kicked the winning goal, Tom Couch was quiet in the VFL so will remain in the twos. Ricky Petterd is struggling to find his rhythm while Rohan Bail will need to pass the required tests if he is to return from concussion.
- Peter Ryan

NORTH MELBOURNE
You would not expect many changes given North's impressive win over Adelaide last Sunday, but Cruize Garlett continued to put pressure on the selectors with another outstanding performance in North Ballarat's win over Frankston last Saturday. Garlett was best on ground for the Roosters with 35 possessions, while Matt Campbell (29 possessions), Aaron Edwards (32 and 10marks) and Cameron Richardson (26) were among the other Kangaroos to perform well. Meanwhile, utility Cameron Pedersen (18 possessions and 25 hit-outs) and tall defender Ayden Kennedy (17 possessions) were the Kangaroos' best performers in Werribee's loss to Bendigo last Saturday.
-Nick Bowen

PORT ADELAIDE
The injury concerns at Alberton are well documented and they'll face the Cats without a single member of their leadership group. But the incredible injury list, which also includes captain Dom Cassisi, offers middle tier players an opportunity to shine. John Butcher could come back into the side, Aaron Young was serviceable in the SANFL and Daniel Stewart kicked four goals. David Rodan had 18 touches and kicked a goal after the siren to win the game for Norwood and defender Alipate Carlile is a big chance to return, given he reaches his fitness standards this week.
-Harry Thring

RICHMOND
Nathan Foley, Steven Morris and Tyrone Vickery missed the victory over Greater Western Sydney in round 12 because of injury but all are available to take on Adelaide this Saturday. The Tigers' season-long reluctance to make many changes to the line-up means they're unlikely to all make their way into the team at once. Vickery is likely to come in for Brad Miller or Brett O'Hanlon. Foley also is likely to come in but it's touch and go with Morris because the player he'd replace, Matt Dea, has done nothing wrong. Tall defender Jake Batchelor has been unconvincing but he might be saved by the threat posed by Adelaide key forwards Kurt Tippett and Taylor Walker.
-Paul Daffey

ST KILDA
Ahmed Saad should come straight back into the St Kilda side after missing the Adelaide loss with concussion. Saad was a late withdrawal after receiving a heavy knock the previous week against Gold Coast. With forward Nick Riewoldt under an injury cloud, Beau Wilkes shapes as a likely replacement should the skipper not be fit by Sunday. Wilkes kicked four goals in Sandringham's VFL loss last week, while there were impressive performances from Brett Peake and Farren Ray, who have both found it hard to crack into St Kilda's senior team this year.
-Luke Holmesby

SYDNEY SWANS
With victories in four of their past five games, including wins over Geelong and Essendon, the Swans are proving a hard side to break into. Adam Goodes returned from a long layoff against the Cats and should be better for the run this week against Greater Western Sydney, while Ben McGlynn slotted in nicely following a one-week suspension. Trent Dennis-Lane and Nick Malceski made way for the returning pair and could find it tough to break back in this week. With Luke Parker (shoulder) 3-4 weeks away from a return, the Swans appear a settled line-up heading into round 14.
-James Dampney

WEST COAST
First-year forward Murray Newman has been labelled a "big chance" to make his debut against Gold Coast on Saturday after a strong run of form in the WAFL. The skilful teenager could start as the sub, or the Eagles may choose to give one of their senior players reduced game time against the winless Suns. Adam Selwood (arm infection) and Will Schofield (hamstring) both trained lightly on Monday after missing last Saturday's clash with Collingwood and will face fitness tests later this week. Sam Butler is pushing to return from a minor hamstring injury.
-Nathan Schmook

WESTERN BULLDOGS
Unexpected landslide defeats usually precipitate change, so don’t expect this time-worn process to be any different at Whitten Oval this week. Will Minson is certain to return after serving a club-imposed one-match suspension, while the Dogs emergencies for last Saturday's loss to the Brisbane Lions - veterans Ryan Hargrave and Lindsay Gilbee, along with Nathan Djerrkura - could come into the side to add some zip and composure against Essendon at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night. Given the Dogs' forward issues, Matthew Panos - who kicked four goals in his most recent outing with Williamstown - could also come under consideration.

It's not like this info is coming from the clubs - its merely a paragraph or two of edumacated guesses from the afl.com.au staffers...

relax lads just giving some people information about who is in the mix this week

Hope Morris plays from a Tigers' perspective rather than a DT one.  We need someone to stop Callinan, as small forwards usually destroy us and I can see him having a day out against our defence if Morris doesn't play.

I'd actually be confident if this was played in Melbourne.  We have no chance at Footy Park.

Looks like we may be waiting another week for Morabito if he doesnt recover from the concussion. Would like to see him play before trading him in to see how he performs.
