Watson or Boyd?

Which one of these guns should i get to finish off my midfield?

Don't think you can really split them.

Watson is very consistent and a safe scorer for any midfield.  ;)

Boyd can have some low scores, usually when you need him the most, but also has a much higher ceiling.  Watson will pretty much give you 100-110 each week, but rarely gets bigs scores of 135+.  You just have to weigh it up; consistency or scoring potential.

Watson for pretty good consistency.
BUT, if its not this week, then wait 1-2 weeks for Boyd to drop, he scored 70 last week. He will drop and will probably be the better option. Good captain material and DT gun every year.

I have both and would say Boyd, the only way i split them is by saying boyd gets bigger numbers so he is a good captain choice

Both are averaging the same.  The difference is Watson's average is consistent whilst Boyd's isn't.  Boyd can get 150 one week then 80 the next but Watson is likely to get you two 115's.

Depends on the rest of your midfield, I always aim for a combination of 4 consistent and 2 inconsistent. In this case Boyd is the inconsistent one whilst Watson is consistent. I currently have 4 and 2 with Swan, Ablett, Watson, Ebert as consistent and Scott Selwood and Rocky who are extremely inconsistent giving me either a 70 or a 140

Thank you for your help Adamant. This persuaded me to go Boyd for a good captain choice in the future :)
